I think the tasks are set up in a great way - customizable, intuitive. We have explored other task module software and BlackLine has been the best. Our BlackLine CSM is helpful and responsive, as well as our Account Manager. Tasks are an easy win to keep track of close and make sure the team is aligned - it has also helped with transition of duties. We use tasks every day. Reconciliations are a bit more difficult to implement and you need better change management. I would also recommend an implementation partner to get the most out of the module. Templates require more training, but it makes sense as it is a more complex feature. It's not easy to pick up if you're not an accountant. I wish the alerts for tasks and recs were more customizable as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From an admin standpoint I find it very difficult to understand all of the Blackline update e-mails. They aren't very specific to their customers setup and hard to tell if we need to actually do anything from an IT standpoint. I know this is a hard thing to fix but couldn't think of anything else to say. I'm not an IT person so when an e-mail comes from Blackline with all IT language it's hard for me to understand.
