"Excellent Protection Against PowerShell Attacks"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

The software blocks powershell attacks that can otherwise be run by anyone with access to the machines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

The only thing I can think is a downside is the UI for the system, there is currently a translucent windowing in place, that looks kind of odd, but aside from that, the system is very user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"BlackFog is a safety net for businesses"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

We all work hard to do the right thing in business and that there are those out there with ill intent is unthinkable, yet it happens every day. We have BlackFog deployed on all our workstations and server and also those of our valued Clients. BlackFog has an easily-justifiable price and it truly is a safety net when you consider that ill-doers can work their way through antivirus and sometimes wiggle their way around firewalls. We highly recommend BlackFog for every business. Truly there's nothing else like it on the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

Can't think of a thing, it's a good solution at a reasonable price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Silent Protection, But Needs Uninstall Password Option"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

The protection operates quietly in the background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

I would appreciate it if there were an option to require a password before uninstalling the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Brenda Robb of BlackFog

Thank you for kind review of BlackFog. Regarding your comment on passwords, we do not provide this option due to Microsoft best practices. The recommended approach according to Microsoft is to ensure you are not giving system administrator access to your users to prevent uninstallation.

"Great BlackFog experience"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

BlackFog is able to detect things that other platforms cannot detect. They service cross platforms. The dashboard is easy to follow and very intuitive. There is very little maintenance and configuration. The biggest thing is it protects you from ransomeware. Support is very responsive and customer service focused. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

There are no downsides to this product. We have yet to experience a downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Black Fog is lightweight and sits in the background working 24X7 for enhanced protection."

What do you like best about BlackFog?

The sotware uses very little resources. It does not confict with other main stream software except for a minor tweak maybe to let your enterprise antivirus know it is trusted. It has great up to the minute reporting. Provides tools to track down events to help you make security decisions. Additionally it breaks down threats into groupings. Black Fogs onboarding and customer support is second to none that I have encountered in 40 years working in the IT industry. The software also has additional features to tighten up your security as your wish such as geo blocking and I block powershell on end users due to the current threats easily using it for bad results. I cannot leave out the ability to scan the dark web for user accounts that may have been breached. This is a great feature to have for any board members and high ranking company officials that usually have high level access to your network and shares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

I wish Black Fog would offer Anti-virus and patch software to provide an all inclusive web interface to monitor security from one console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great value for layer of protection"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

Value of benefit for cost. Strong combination of software economies of scale and cost efficiency but with human access, involvement and advice - initiated from Blackfog side - I don't have to remember to reach out to them. They are reviewing and updating me on what they see at regular interval or if something specific comes up. Appreciate how the reports are broken down with executive summary type input when sent to me as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

i'm very happy overall. since your survey requires input here, one thing that would be nice is being able to change the computer ID within the portal while still preserving the actual ID on machine. This way I could quickly, at least on the Blackfog dashboard, label the machines and what user is assigned versus having to reference outside data or go to each machine and rename it. What do you dislike about BlackFog?

We had some problems with RDP and Blackfog. Stuff like this does not amuse our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Darren Williams of BlackFog

Thanks for your review. RDP has some pretty big security holes and it is important to specifically allow devices to secure end to end connections.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

From talking to the front folks, our helpdesk. They are not big fans of the false positives. They have a ton of alerts that need to be cleared which takes up time $$$$. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Brenda Robb of BlackFog

Thanks for your feedback. BlackFog is always striving to have zero false positives and is constantly improving the technology. We often recommend running the system in training mode for the first 30 days to allow the system to calibrate and remove the false positive rate. You can also add your own allowlist items to ensure a solid baseline. This will ensure that you will have few surprises going forward. We would be happy to engage one of our Sales Engineers if you require some assistance.
