## Blackboard Reviews
  ### 1. 4 years of very easy learning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariah T. | Miss, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I used blackboard learn all through college and found it very easy to navigate and function. The timeliness of assignments and how teachers and students could easily interact throughout discussion boards made learning and grading that much easier.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Occasionally the system would need a reboot while trying to reply or even start a discussion board. Other than that I’ve only had one other issue where it wouldn’t let me submit an assignment.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allowed an entire college community of teachers, faculty and students to be interconnected to better the students learning abilities and improve effective communication.

  ### 2. Wonderful

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I love that this is an easy place to check grades as well as assign different projects.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I don’t like that it crashes so often. It sometimes causes problems to upload classwork and grades.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m solving how to handle time management through the task bars in Blackboard

  ### 3. Blackboard review - academic

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Blackboard Learn is good, makes different classes clearly distinguishable and has sections for all documents for students.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Copying course material and importing for future courses is difficult - I usually end up contacting support for assistance.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Student interaction and interface is manageable, tracking student engagement is easy and accessible.

  ### 4. Its a great software

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Easy to see announcements from school.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

It’s a bit complicated at times especially as a new student

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s made it easier to get into concyat with lecturers

  ### 5. Central and Simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

This is perfect for me, as an administrative assistant, to manage the students in our department and program. I am able to add and remove students as things change, and I can reach all of the students in the program. Adding other administrative users is quite easy as well, and allows all interested parties top post announcements.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

It's not always easy to use copy and paste to enter information as the formatting gets very wonky and you can't see the issues until some information is posted. I dislike the way to insert PDF links as the page announcement. I have to upload a jpeg image of the flyer and add links elsewhere. I am also not fond of the way links must be separately embedded into the sex, instead of auto-linking.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This allows me to reach all of the students in the program and keep them updated on the information and ongoings of the University. Since the students are required to use the system for classes, and I guaranteed to get their attention when new content is posted.

  ### 6. Easy to use, online archive of learning materials

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Blackboard serves as an online archive of all learning materials conveniently organized by courses and subdivisions within. Documents, assignments, and quizzes are all easily accessible. Plus, there’s a mobile app so you can access blackboard from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

The user interface could be enhanced to be cleaner and easier to use. The embedded window for assignment submission occasionally alters formatting. The website also doesn’t allow for instructors to post embedded videos or pdfs.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackboard solves the problem of distributing learning materials from instructors to learners in an organized fashion all in one place — a virtual curriculum. It has eliminated daily paper hand outs, aggregated all materials of the same category or topic in place (ex. materials for cardiovascular physiology or quizzes for anatomy class), and allowed universal and immediate access to this virtual curriculum.

Teaching classes and save time. I prefer using it and convenient

  ### 11. Useful but took some getting used to

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtenay C. | Violin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Can easily provide students with materials (although I didn't use this feature much). Email notifications about when grading was due was very useful.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Navigation was complex at first and took some getting used to. Mostly I used it for grading student's assessments and overall commitment throughout each school term. I found the drafting and saving reports difficult and often things did not save and weren't sent to the department head.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

A guide or training session would be useful!

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a group of students with learning materials. However I mostly taught individual private lessons so it wasn't best optimised for this kind of teaching.

  ### 12. Very efficient and streamlines the class

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabel Z. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like the easy interface. I like how the most recent annonucements and changes are in the middle.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I dislike the requirement to disable the pop up blocker for tests and would like everything to happen in the same window.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

Try it.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used this as a college student and a high school teacher. I benefited from having access to important class information at the touch of my phone or computer.

  ### 13. Good for school work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like being able to upload assignments on here and receive grades

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I don't like that it is constantly crashing in a school environment

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackboard has glitches and bugs frequently. It doesn't feel reliable

  ### 14. User friendly GUI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like how black-board has all classes organised and it is easy for me to choose one of the classes I am enrolled in and view details about it. The best thing is that I have it clearly marked which classes I take as a student and which classes I TA for.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

It'd really be helpful if Black-board worked as well even on android phones. I am not well versed with computer knowledge therefore It's difficult for me to point out how exactly the Android app for black-board can be made better but all I can say is that app is not user-friendly and my phone hangs when I try to use it.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it both as a student to view my grades and also as a TA to put up my student's grades. As I mentioned previously, it's benefits are that it helps me keep everything organized.

  ### 15. Blackboard Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I have used Blackboard extensively and I have noticed many pros to the platform. It provides easy and clean organization of files. The instructions for submission of tests and assignments were clear and concise. It was also easy to customize the website and add reminders if needed.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Some cons of blackboard were the integration into a mobile app was not as seamless as other platforms, such as canvas. This should be improved on so students can easily reach the site when they do not have a computer available to them.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackboard allows for faster communication with professors and students and also allows for a better organization of assignments and exams.

  ### 16. Works well, but limiting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faith D. | Student Life Assistant, Environmental Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Blackboard is an excellent platform for educators and universities looking to provide students with well organized online resources.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I would like to see some features for educators become easier to utilize. Features like only including grades for certain assignments for certain students is a bit more difficult than it could be. Having the ability to customize class pages more would also be beneficial.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackboard allows us to provide students with resources that they would otherwise not be able to utilize outside of class. Students are able to take their classes with them, subsequently having more opportunities to study and learn. I am also able to upload lessons and assignments online, cutting down on paper usage.

  ### 17. Blackboard Learn Reveiw

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren W. | Operations Manager, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like the many options for creating a variety of activities for students. I like that Blackboard makes it easy for instructors and admin to follow. Blackboard is a great platform for students of all ages. We cater a lot to older students because our program is all online and they have reported all good things. The classes are easy to use consistency in because everything is/ can be based on a template.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I dislike that accessibility is limited based on your role. I dislike that as an admin, I control almost all of Blackboard for my online faculty and they have to come to me to change anything. I do not like that Blackboard has glitches often.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Blackboard learn to solve the problems of online learning. Blackboard has created a tremendous platform for students of all ages to use with ease.

  ### 18. It was very user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathy G. | President , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Ease of use for everyone in the company

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Upload time was slower than expected but ok

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

Try it! You’ll love it!

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multiple people can access info

  ### 19. You cannot go wrong with the Blackboard Learn Android App

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

The Learn Android App is perfect. Intuitive, easy to use, user-friendly. Highlights everything that is important and has a clean, organized UI.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

The website is a little different and more different to navigate on a mobile browser. But the perfect app makes up for it.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

Definitely go for it.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for a class in my University. It supports announcements, uploading relevant documents, gives a place to create a submission space for Assignments with multiple options with regards to number of submissions. It is thoroughly efficient and useful.

  ### 20. It does what it's supposed to, but not well

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

It does provide a useful, functional course framework.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

It is incredibly glitchy, prone to losing student submitted assignments, fussy on a lot of web browsers, and some plugins it offers are very poorly integrated.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

Canvas is better

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does provide a centralized, consistent experience for students so that they don't have to learn a different LMS for every class.

  ### 21. Jack of All Trades! (Master of None)

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan R. | Instructional Technologist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Blackboard is capable of many different functions. It's LTI compatible, works with many other external systems we have, and it has several internal tools. Faculty can create Discussion Boards, build wikis, host meetings within BB Collaborate Ultra. Blackboard can facilitate almost any idea faculty have for lessons within their courses.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

What I like best about Blackboard is also what I see as it's biggest problem: its many functions. Yes, it does have discussion, but no one really wants to use it because it feels impersonal. (My university integrates YellowDig to fix this, which has a more appeal aesthetic because it feels more like most social media platforms) Since we don't really like most of the features, we end up integrating several LTI tools and Building Blocks. This proves to be costly. I know several people would like to switch to a different system, but too many people are content with Blackboard despite requiring us to buy extra tools.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

I wouldn't say that Blackboard is the worst option for LMS's. However, I would either find a different LMS or go with Blackboard Ultra. If you settle with vanilla Blackboard Learn, you may not be too happy with how your users respond to it. Therefore, you many end up adding/paying for several add-ons for the system. The add-ons work, I just wish that things like discussions, wikis, messaging, etc. were more intuitive and appealing to students. Not to be too mean, I do appreciate how easily other systems are able to work with Blackboard. We use ilos Video Platform, and we were able to link the two using Blackboards Mashups, SSO, and a new integration that allows instructors to link their quizzes from their ilos Videos into the Blackboard Grade Center. It's not the worst LMS; it's just not the best.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a public university, so we host almost all of our classes on Blackboard. It's nice being able to guide students to one centralize location for their courses. Additionally, my university hosts a rather large dual-degree with two international universities. Being able to leverage Blackboard's online space helps us keep enrollments up and problems down. I would say hosting our online courses is the greatest benefit of using Blackboard.

  ### 22. Easy connect

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie W. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Easy to connect with professors and students and to gain access to files and assignments. Makes all information needed for contacting peers easily available.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Not always the most user friendly. Some applications more difficult to access.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very easy to connect with peers and have forums for conversation

  ### 23. Blackboard Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Collaboration and communication I so important, and in a mostly online classroom I thought the way we were able to communicate made it feel alot less remote.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

There were times when glitches happened and some of the posts would disappear leaving the conversation unknown ornot make sense but overall the system wrroked well. I didn't like the way grades are displayed.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again the communication when not able to always be in a physical classroom are so essential. Especially from a graduate school perspective.

  ### 24. A software that allows students to connect

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

A software that allows students to connect with their teachers and peers through school work.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Somewhat dated and could be updated to integrate with various browsers. Sometimes does not work with Safari

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to get grades and scores faster with assignments. Quick feedback

  ### 25. Excellent Organization and Presentation of Information in a Few Clicks

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Blackboard is very simple to use and is intuitively organized. There are some unnecessary bells and whistles, but these can easily be turned off. I am not nearly as tech savvy as I used to be, but Blackboard has managed (even with several updates) to not go beyond my range of understanding and usability. I also like that Blackboard seems to work well for classes with computers and classes without. I teach at a university that has computer labs and classes without computer and it just depends on which classroom you'll get. I have found that even in classrooms without computers, students can still follow along with their mobile devices which makes it much easier for all of us.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I wish there were more flexibility for saving and downloading certain materials. For example, my announcements are where I place the overview/lesson plans for each class meeting. I wish there were a way I could 'bulk download' all of these at once in a Word document so I could save them, slightly alter them, and then use them for future semesters.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't necessarily speak to this as I do not work on the business side of things, but as a faculty member I know that for those who use the LMS their students tend to have a better grasp of what's expected of them in class. I also think that students enjoy being able to access course materials online and it makes a significant impact on the environment and minimizing budget lines for paper, printer ink, and related products.

  ### 26. Great website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like that it is easy to nagivate. The program has everything I need on the front page and I like that. The page rarely messes up.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I do not like how it logs you out so quickly

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program has been a success for all students.

  ### 27. Bb lean review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

It’s accessibility and different tools that the professors can use to share content.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I like to use it better in a tablet, iPad or cellphone. The computer version seems out of date even though is
Not.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Share content and to use an online bridge between professor and student

  ### 28. Great product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

Haven't used it to solve any busines sproblems

  ### 29. BlackBoard

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Blackboard is helpful
because you can access all your content in one place.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I think it would be beneficial for it to be similar to google drive for collaboration.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can store multiple classes in one place.

  ### 30. I enjoyed blackboard, it was easy to use and clear.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

The thing I liked the most about blackboard was how easy it was to use. It was clear and you could easily communicate with your professor or another student when need be.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Sometimes I would not be able to open links that my teacher placed on blackboard, but I am not sure if this was my teachers fault of if it was something within blackboard.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is not relevant to me because I used blackboard as a student, not for business purposes.

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like that you can manage organizations and classes. It is almost limitless with what you can do! From online tests, to work teams, and announcement. Great for any form of classroom structure or organization like Residence Halls, Class of Groups, etc. It has great tools for organizing classwork and extra activities. You can also customize the layout and look based on your institution! It is great for transfer students especially if they are used to this platform.
When using this for more than just classrooms, students are really able to see and understand how versatile blackboard is. I use this for announcements for my residence hall, espcially for documents of important info like student handbooks, housing polices, etc.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Honestly, I love blackboard. Every system has its downfalls though. It has a lot of features which is great, but so many go unused because you cant always figure it all out. I think especially for students a blackboard training course, specifically structured for the particular institution would be great.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

Take the time to learn this product. It is best to get an entire department, college, institution on board for the sake of the students. Having all their courses and organizations run on the same platform helps give consistency and ease of use during a stressful period in their lives. Additionally, having set guidelines for faculty so they are using the platform in the best way!

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building courses, online courses, work group, student organization groups, residence halls, etc.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Everything is in one place. You can send mass emails, record attendance, input grades and provide commentary for assignments (even within the assignment submission screen).

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

There are times when maintenance might get in the way of the use, but these times are short.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

I am now at another institution who uses 3 different programs to conduct the work that Blackboard does altogether.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The students can also load money onto their ID cards which they can use on-campus.

  ### 37. Blackboard your one stop shop for grades, assignments, even tests!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I love the fact that teachers can easily post a message and have it not only show up on everyones blackboard site but also in everyones email. My teachers utilize this feature quite often. Also love the convenience of the app.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I do not really like that you cannot view everything on the app that you can review on the desktop site. Sometimes if I use the app too much I feel like I miss important things.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

I would recommend that after each semester is over you use the "hide" feature in order to hide the previous classes or else your screen gets pretty busy.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Students can easily see their letter grade they currently have in the class and they also can see the exact percentage they have in the class instead of having to ask the instructor every time they would like to check their grades.

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like the ability to see assignments and interact directly with the moderator versus sending emails. This portal is helpful with getting questions answered which is a time saver and lets me complete what is need much quicker.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Discussions can be hard to navigate at times as well as adjusting the settings. However, it may be able to be adjusted on the administrating end.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

Navigation is simple and straightforward, use that to your advantage when utilizing the program!

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Training is easier to complete, I did not have a problem completing or have any technical issues when using it.

  ### 39. Blackboard is easy to learn to use.

  ### 41. Great way to organize class content

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Blackboard is a great platform for organizing class content for students to access. The ability to organize readings and other handouts in separate modules is especially helpful for teaching online courses, though it can also be helpful for face-to-face classes as well.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

While Blackboard makes organizing content easy, it can sometimes be difficult to set up and use. It is relatively easy to use on the student's end, but the course set-up as an instructor is not particularly user-friendly. I have taken training on using Blackboard and still do not feel that I can figure out how to do everything I want to with it.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

Blackboard is a great platform for organizing and presenting content for a course, but I would suggest that instructors take a tutorial on how to use it as well as give students a walkthrough as it can be confusing and difficult to use without training.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Blackboard primarily for organizing class content, keeping up with student grades, and facilitating discussion boards. Using it for student grades is particularly helpful as it provides a place for me to keep and calculate grades and also provides a place for students to find their grades as soon as I submit them, reducing e-mails about grades. I also enjoy Blackboard's discussion board format where students can post anonymously in discussion boards I choose or have to post in other discussion boards before they can read posts, making it easier to ensure students are posting their own work. Blackboard's link with SafeAssign is also helpful, as it provides a quick and easy way for me to assess whether students are plagiarizing their work and to what extent.

  ### 42. Blackboard Learn

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosa H. | Communications Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like how colleges and other learning based information can use Blackboard to organize and have a way they can delivery a teaching method. Whether that is with a class online on in person. It is nice to see due dates, grades, and much more through an online software.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

If you are new to using Blackboard it can be a little over whelming having to nagivate and learn a courses structure and where they put materials. The pros outway the cons in this software.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It currently performs bug reports and other ways to make it more user friendly.

  ### 43. My experience with Blackboard Learn

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like how everything is laid out neatly into folders. Also, the calendar is very handy as I am given the option to only look at my work for certain classes or for all of them.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I do not like how Blackboard does not have a "check mark system" where one would be able to mark off their progress as they go along their classwork.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

Everything is neatly sorted and easy to see!

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackboard Learn has been down a few times for fixing, and it is inconvenient. A benefit is how organized everything is within the site itself (i.e. course messages, calendar, grades, etc.)

  ### 45. Blackboard for graduate student

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine M. | Health Home Care Coordinator, Mental Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I really like that my professors can add digital assignments and communicate by making announcements. I also really like always having access to the syllabus when not in class for reference.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Sometimes the links to outside articles or assignments do not work and state that access is not granted.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great benefit to have everything available online from checking grades to having discussion with other students. I find it makes staying connected so much easier as a commuter student.

  ### 46. Blackboard fir college

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I liked that I could access the coursework anywhere. Blackboard was the first online toll I used and it was a good first program.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

It was often hard to navigate and I had to go all the way back to the home page to navigate somewhere rather than just clicking to go to the new place. I also had issues uploading and posting assignments sometimes.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 47. Great for viewing information and collaborating

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

You can engage in discussions with others.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Sometimes there are many navigation settings.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps keep information stored and shared in one place and for groups to discuss topics.

  ### 48. It works. That's about it

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

I like that blackboard has seemingly limitless features.
For a professor who is willing to put the hours into training and course building, it can be an amazing tool.
I would write more, but there's nothing more to write.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

Blackboard has so many features that new users would never figure out on their own. It is not especially user-friendly, and it is entirely horrid on mobile devices.
Blackboard can be, to a lazy professor, a great tool, because it is nearly impossible for them to build a really decent course without specific personal training.
Blackboard does not coordinate well across different devices, and is difficult for students to use unless they have the exact materials.
I wish Blackboard were easier to integrate into other popular learning platforms, such as Pearson MyLabs.

**Recommendations to others considering Blackboard:**

Honestly, I would consider something else. Blackboard has a lot of work to do in order to catch up to 2018.
I would recommend, to all adopters, to have a very strong training program so that all users are aware of all features. Without this training, it would be nearly impossible to get your money's worth out of this platform. It is completely necessary to have good trainings in order to use BlackBoard's biggest strengths.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use blackboard to build online courses and organize group work across our campus(es). I enjoy that it has a lot of features, though it is not especially easy to find all the features for a new used.

  ### 49. Not as good as Canvas

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Blackboard can be simple and intuitive to set up for a class.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

From the student perspective, it can be a headache to navigate.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a decent way to interact with a class, particularly either large classes or online/distance-learning courses.

  ### 50. My blackboard Experience.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Blackboard?**

Very much interactive and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Blackboard?**

I don't dislike anything in particular about this product.

**What problems is Blackboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do grading using Blackboard learn as a part of my part time work.
