"All-in-One Platform with Helpful Workflows and AI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

I like that the system integrates so many functions in one place, not just a CRM, but also communication tools, donation pages, prospecting, tracking, and reporting, to name a few. The newer features, like workflows and AI, are especially helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

It is very expensive, and every new function triggers a new subscription. The move from database to the web based system is taking too long (though it is handled well). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

4.5/5
What do you like best about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

The tool is improving and evolving rapidly. I like how much the programmers depend on the user community and idea bank. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

I wish that they were able to keep the old view indefinitely and am not looking forward to it being sunsetted late next summer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A CRM that's easy for non-database folks to use."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

Blackbaud continues to enhance the features of NXT - batch entry in grid form is now enabled, as are various report and query options. Their stated goal is to end the database version (RE7) by the end of 2027 and they seem to be on track (so far) with making sure that NXT can do everything that the database version does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

I don't like NXT any less than before - some of the shortcomings have been addressed and more features are being released. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Organized Fundraising, but Pricey for Small Nonprofits"
4/5
What do you like best about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

I like that Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is web-based and is fairly user-friendly. I also like the reporting that's built in, especially the fundraising dashboards that are customizable. The feature that allows the reports to be emailed out daily to relevant staff is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

It's been somewhat challenging to keep our users up to date with all the new releases as Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT switches from its legacy system. In a small organization, keeping everyone informed about changes and the impact on roles is difficult. More proactive videos and tutorials would be helpful, instead of just having news items on the RENXT home page. Also, integrating Power Automate for acknowledgment letters has been a challenge, and I miss the more seamless integration with the old legacy system. Lastly, the pricing could be prohibitive for smaller nonprofits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NXT Is Our Office Backbone—Intuitive, Powerful, and Essential for Daily Work"
5/5
What do you like best about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

NXT is the backbone of both my position and our office in many ways. From gift processing to database management to email communciations and workflows to documentation, I appreciate that I have the ability to learn more facets of the platform and better incorporate into my daily tasks. I come from a relatively small alumni relations and development team (around 15 full time staff members total), and although I started mu role as an traditional user, I have come to rely on NXT for EVERYTHING! I send many emails through their built in communications platform, am the primary user for donation forms, build many constituent lists, monitor and update relevant dashboards, add actions and attachments, and the list seems to go on and on! I love that learning a piece is pretty customer-intuitive, and if I absolutely need to understand something better, I can rely on resources like Blackbaud University. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

I have worked in NXT for 3.5 years and it is great! There are definitely little things that would make my job easier that I would love to see added, but overall the functionality is stellar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Fundraising Database and Dashboards, Still a Work in Progress"
3/5
What do you like best about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

A large database that allows you to hold all the data you need, and more. It's not just a data storage tool, you can use the dashboard to report fundraising to your peers, for example, and the prospect management tools allow you to easily see where you are on your major donor fundraising journey. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

It is not a completed product yet. It's on the way to being a very good database, but there is still a lot that needs to be added or fixed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Relationship-First Tool That Brings Clarity to Fundraising"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

What I like most about Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT is how it keeps me grounded in the people, not just the data.

Everything about it is built around the donor. I can quickly see someone’s giving history, notes, touchpoints, and where they are in the relationship. That makes it easier to be thoughtful and intentional, instead of reactive or transactional.

It also helps a lot with day-to-day flow. Automations for acknowledgments and basic moves management take things off the mental load. I’m not chasing details or wondering what fell through the cracks.

And honestly, the dashboards matter. Being able to pull up clear, visual snapshots of progress helps me tell the story of what’s happening, whether that’s with our team or our board. It keeps conversations focused on impact, not just numbers.

At the end of the day, it helps me spend less time managing systems and more time building real relationships, which is the part of the work I care most about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

I’ll be straight with you. There are a few things about Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT that can be frustrating.

One is that it can feel slow at times. Loading screens and transitions can lag, especially when pulling big lists or running complex queries. It doesn’t stop you from working but it slows your rhythm.

Another is that some features feel hidden or unintuitive. If you haven’t used it before, there’s a bit of a learning curve just figuring out where things live. Certain tasks that seem simple take extra clicks or steps compared with other tools.

Reporting is powerful, but custom reports can be tricky to build without some experience. Getting exactly what you want sometimes takes a few tries, and it’s easy to get stuck in the options.

Finally, support is good, but waiting for help can take a bit of time when you hit something you can’t figure out on your own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Full-featured and extensible"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

I appreciate RE NXT's API-first mentality, where new features added are always accompanied by API endpoints that enable you to build your own integrations. The result is a full-featured product that's easy to use, and easy to extend if you want to do your own thing with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

Although Raiser's Edge NXT's web interface contains all the features and functionality your users will need, there are still a few features that are only available in database view. These are mostly admin features. To use database view, you will need to have Citrix installed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Keeps Donor Stewardship Organized in One Place"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

Using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT has been very helpful because it lets me keep track of everything in one place—donors, gifts, contacts, and any notes related to stewarding each constituent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?

One downside of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is that it still feels like a work in progress. At this point, you can’t do everything in NXT that you can do in the database view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
