NXT is user friendly and offers an array of features. They provide a number of webinars and trainings on any new features or transitions which makes the implementation easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Customer support is somewhat of a struggle to get in a timely manner when in an emergency situtation. They do offer online chats, but in my experience, they have not been as helpful as gettting a live rep on the phone which generally takes a considerable amount of hold time. The ability to create so many different segments and fields to organize and track data is fantastic as is the ability to create customized reports. I find it's flexible enough to edit information but with the proper controls.

The fact that Blackbaud doesn't allow other technologies to interact with it is it's biggest detriment. In todays modern world, we need to be able to pay bills using a service and receive money from multiple sources without needing to manually import data or jump through hoops to get the information to flow into the proper fields.

Also, more support on setup and maybe defaults set that most people would want to have. For instance, the ability to post a JE to a cash account without impacting the register should be defaulted to not allow. I've seen too many clients who made this mistake and just assumed the software was bad. Also transaction and document date differences cause trouble reconciling accounts such as A/P and A/R. I really enjoy the new Excel export feature for making budgets in Financial Edge. Most people are at least a little familiar with Excel, so it is really nice to be able to make detailed budgets in a way that everybody can grasp. This also makes it really easy for integration becaues a lot of our previous budgets at my company were in Excel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Over my last 30 years of experience working in General accounting, I can say that this is one of the best softwars to work with reporting and easy Queries that can provide you all the reporting you need!
