One of Altru’s strengths is its integrated approach to managing membership, fundraising, and guest services, providing a 360-degree view of our constituents. For organizations looking to enhance their operational efficiency and member engagement, Blackbaud Altru® is a solid choice that supports growth and impact. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Altru?** The learning curve can be steep, especially for those new to CRM systems, but the support from Blackbaud’s community and resources makes the transition smoother. **What problems is Blackbaud Altru solving and how is that benefiting you?** Centralized Constituent Management: Before using Altru, we struggled with keeping track of interactions with members, donors, and visitors across different departments. Altru consolidates all this information into a single, comprehensive system. This centralized approach allows us to better understand our constituents, tailor our communications, and provide a more personalized experience. ### 2. It is a comprehensive program that made us ask questions and think about things we hadn't thought of before creating a membership. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Altru?** It tries to be all things to all areas of a museum. It takes forever to update events and I can run several different reports to see admission numbers and each report brings up different admission number and none match! It makes me question the reliability of the data. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Altru?** The calendar feature allows me to see what is scheduled for each day to to get a very rough estimate on how many reservations we have. Their online videos have been helpful in navigating different features. **What problems is Blackbaud Altru solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our museum uses Altru to keep track of store inventory, schedule events, and sell admission tickets. It has helped us have a digital platform for selling admission tickets during COVID. ### 6. From what I understand, the back end is quite limiting and I know that it is incompatible with certain modern features of websites (not sure of the specifics). Altru's interface and information architecture could also seriously use some reorganizing; I don't think I've ever intuivitely found something I was looking for. The organizational calendar is the bane of my colleagues' existence, but I think that's because it lacks quick updates and communication between people who need information about the events. **What problems is Blackbaud Altru solving and how is that benefiting you?** On multiple occasions, we have had to come up with creative solutions to make a discount work in a specific way, especially during COVID. That's complicated when the tool isn't necessarily built to do what you're trying to make it do. ### 7. The donor detail in RaisersEdge is amazing compared to the donor detail in Altru. Also, I wish sales for museum stores was a lot more user friendly. I can't do inventory on Altru. Even on the lowest constituent match setting, we still get multiple entries for individuals purchasing on the website. I wish there was a way for them to look their account up. **Recommendations to others considering Blackbaud Altru:** Please make the fundraising portion of Altru more user friendly. Seriously, the fundraising interface should simply be RaisersEdge software. **What problems is Blackbaud Altru solving and how is that benefiting you?** Like I said, it is great for museum management and front-of-office functions. ### 10. The appeal malings system is fairly straightforward. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Altru?** the ticketing process, program forms, the actual platform in which i enter the HTML for our email blasts. It's a little confusing. **What problems is Blackbaud Altru solving and how is that benefiting you?** getting the word out about our programs (and events), having a platform on which to sell tickets to programs, classes, and exhibition openings ### 11.
