I love that Black Owl Lease Accounting Solution is very user-friendly, and the support from Greg and Derek is excellent. They are always open to feedback and suggestions. It saves a great amount of time by eliminating manual calculations for things like the present value of right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, the incremental borrowing rate, and required disclosures under GAAP, especially when dealing with multiple leases. The integration with a client's proprietary accounting software and QuickBooks works perfectly. The initial setup was pretty painless, with Derek helping a lot with the setup process. We've added a fair amount of features and customization around data transfers and ETL, and the end-to-end encryption works smoothly for sending and receiving data, especially when we load it directly into our SAP GL environment. Greg Kautz and his team were amazing during the implementation and have also provided quick turnaround in assisting us with ad hoc queries. The software improved efficiency in our month end/quarter end and Year end process time, eliminating a process that was reliant on Excel and prone to errors. The reporting and disclosure features are incredible resources for proving out cash flow items related to leases and responding to ad hoc queries.
