The use case that led me to BL.INK was short URLs with a custom, brand domain that can be edited to send the click to new destinations when required. No other service I could find at the time was as economical, flexible or simple as BL.INK.

One of my considerations was that free URL shortening services I had used in the past either disappeared or changed their offering in some way. I have been happy with BL.INK's reliable service. I have had some link redirects running through the platform without issues since 2019.

I use BL.INK links to embed links in blog posts that can be changed to new products without worrying they will go stale or break. I set up links for brand ambassadors to use so I can track clicks and conversions back to the amabassador who should be given credit, no matter where they place the link. Not much of a downside, but getting the DNS settings right when I first set up my domain was a pain. It seemed to be a simple enough process, but the domain didn't work as expected from the documentation. It was a while ago so I don't remember too many specifics, but in any case the BL.INK support people were very helpful in figuring out the issue and getting things running. I love the ability to offer branded links as well as to create seo friendly links and to fix linking issues within your website.

The mobile app is a bit limited, it would be great to make creating a new link as seamless as possible.

Dynamic links generation is my favourite feature. You can easily create one link and depending on information collected from the user, time, device used, langage... The simplicity of the platform - and the ability to add notes. So often in the past with other branded URL platforms there hasn't been the ability to add notes - which has meant some branded URL's aren't available even though they were in use years ago! It's great for tracking purposes and consistency.

At least on my account, if you haven't signed in for 35 days your account gets locked. This means I have to reach out to an admin to reset my password from their end - a bit of a pain! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
