BitSight utilizes public sourced information to consolidate and rate a company's cybersecurity posture. This information together can give you some insight on a companies culture of security and how much of a risk you would be taking with them or that you may already have. You can also set up alerts to tell you if something changes so you can be quick to react and address the issue with the vendor (or your own company). Much like a bank would lend a person money based on their past history, BitSight gives some level of confidence (or lack thereof) in a company based on what they do in their own environment. The price scale is a little steep and seems to be directed at very large businesses with massive budgets (of course even then most companies don't want to spend money they don't need to). The good part is you have an unlimited ability to swap companies in and out of your monitoring, which although cumbersome can offset that and get you the information you most definitely need.
