Whether it be encoding, playback, or analytics, there is a solution in the Bitmovin product line. We rely heavily on Bitmovin Player, a feature-rich solution that integrates into all of the platforms our end users use, including Android, iOS, Web, Roku, and Smart TVs. Add to that their highly capable encoding and streaming services like Bitmovin Encoding and Bitmovin Streaming, you really don't have to look anywhere else for streaming live or on-demand media. While Bitmovin shines in delivering high-quality video and offering excellent customer support, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. Firstly, their documentation could benefit from more practical examples and use cases. While they do provide technical information, having more real-world examples would make it easier for users to implement their services effectively. Additionally, when encountering failed encodes, the error messages provided by Bitmovin could be more informative and detailed. Clearer error messages would greatly aid users in troubleshooting issues and understanding the root causes of the problems, ultimately leading to a smoother user experience. It took us very little time to get going with their dashboard and SDKs, great docs. The quality we can provide to our users is much higher than with the open-source tools we used in the past. Also, their support is outstanding, they have public community support that's great, but also their engineers directly interacted with us, even via a joined slack channel. We use it for our B2B Sales Enablement Platform to stream video training content. The API is easy to use, fast integrated and the team is absolutely helpful when it comes to questions and support. What problems is Bitmovin solving and how is that benefiting you? Bringing video up and running on all devices and all platforms in a very fast way is super hard. With the Bitmovin API you can publish your videos easily. I particularly like that Bitmovin encodes, hosts, plays, and streams the videos. We are a small startup and for us, ease of use as well as fast integration is key. We only use the basics of Bitmovin, I know they are capable of a lot more including DRM, watermarking, ... but for us, a basic video encoder and video player is all what we need. We transcode files whose lenght varies from 1 hour to up to 10 hours long in a matter of minutes with average transcoding speeds of up to 1500 fps.
