What do you dislike about Bitdefender GravityZone XDR? As a vibecoder, I use VPN and most times I have to disable vpn to use Google etc and most of my software tools don’t work, which is frustrating. I think they could improve the features so vpns and software tools can work but on other aspects as of running my sales business it’s good, a straight forward guidance and support would also make it easier for businesses to get the most out of the platform. I like that Bitdefender GravityZone supports macOS and old servers and computers. It also works well with Huntress, which is helpful. The initial setup was fairly simple. Bitdefender provides excellent protection overall and since our company operates in the healthcare space, its reporting tools are very useful from a compliance perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Bitdefender GravityZone XDR? As someone who appreciates good Mac software, Bitdefender is not particularly good Mac software. A significant portion of the features only work on Windows and have no Mac equivalent. Also, as someone very familiar with Mac systems admin practices, Bitdefender doesn't adhere to any usual Mac standards doing things like placing important files in nonstandard system locations. Further, Bitdefender does not seem committed to keeping up with changes at Apple, sometimes taking months or longer to fix something that Apple broke in an innocuous macOS update. While I empathize with their situation, any seasoned Mac developer should expect this from Apple and be ready to respond. Bitdefender does not do this well and has let several working features break with no fix in sight because of changes that Apple made that they never responded to. As one of our company's compliance requirements involves having antivirus and antimalware software on every user endpoint, Bitdefender serves that purpose. Endpoints would routinely disappear from the panel or would appear as offline. Price was another reason we moved to Webroot's solution. For the price, we felt we got more from Webroot. For the number of licenses we needed, we felt a better value was available by switching to Webroot's endpoint protection. While we don't like that Webroot is OpenText-owned, the product is good. It appears to be fairly good at the most important thing it does (keeping computers malware free) and it lighter weight than many other solutions, and its presence on endpoints is not super noticable and can be managed centrally. The automatic product updates always seem to have issues, at any one time over half of our endpoints will have errors with updates, despite being online.
