The best thing about it is its strong coupling with other Atlassian tools like Jira. Not Only Atlassian products but as Bitbucket has been there for quite some time, most of the product management software has integrations with it, making it a key component in a complete product development experience. Other than that, its simple UI is what makes it very easy to use. Time to time notifications helps a lot in carrying out the code review process. Recent CI/CD pipeline options provided by bitbucket have been very helpful for us for our deployment strategy. **What do you dislike about Bitbucket?** I have been using Bitbucket for more than four years, and I still can't say that it's a fantastic product. I mean, it does its job, but in some sections, its still lagging from its competitors, which are primarily Free. Here's the list of stuff that I dislike about Bitbucket - 1. It's UI. Yes, it has a straightforward UI which is good, but often, the needed stuff isn't available right up. SImple example - If you look at a PR as a reviewer, you won't see the person's name who has raised the PR rather just a badge with the initials of the name. First of all, that's not enough; secondly, even if you can make out from the badge who has raised the PR, then what happens when you have two people with the same initials. And the UX Navigation Flow is also a bit complicated at times. Like the repository and the organization-level projects. 2. It's slow. Yes, after the UI Update, Bitbucket is slower ( I use it from India with a decent Internet Connection ). While using One of its Competitors, Gitlab, I have never faced this issue. But whenever I try to open a page in Bitbucket, it takes a lot of time. And I have checked this with many of my co-workers, and it happens with everyone. Not only Page Load, but specific actions like merging a PR also take an ample amount of time. 3. Difficult to check Large Pull Requests. Yes, if more than ten files have been changed in a PR, then firstly to review it, the loading aspect is slow. Then when someone comments on it, you have to reload the whole page, regardless of where you are currently in the page. **What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been primarily using Bitbucket for version management of our code and automated deployment process. Searching for a particular isn't as refined on bitbucket either. Also, handling merge conflicts isn't easy to do directly on Bitbucket interface. I usually handle my merge conflicts locally, but that usually means I have to delete my branch and re-create the pull request. This requires I get approvals for my pull request again even if I already got approval.
