What do you like best about Birdeye?
The interface is easy to use, simple, and clean. It's very intuitive.
I love the AI social feature, where you can input guardrails for compliance, because our network needs a tool that can understand the nuances of mortgage marketing and the compliance that accompanies it.
Another thing I really like is the "best times to post" as well.
I do feel like the onboarding process was fairly good. We hadn't had any large issues. I felt like it was pretty smooth overall, aside from a few things, which is to be expected.
Integrating for our network was pretty easy with the links, the links are extremely helpful, however, we ran into an issue regarding it when we onboarded in which I will mention in the next part.
For performance, we all use it a little differently, but I haven't had any major issues. But I can say it's 100x better than SOCi across the board, in organized support, problem-solving, interface, and performance. The one issue I was having with its performance was fixed within 2 days. I really liked that things could be resolved so quickly.
As far as pricing and ROI go, I am not involved in making financial decisions for our team, but I do feel that the support we are getting makes us feel taken care of.
So far, the ROI is hard to say because we haven't been with BirdEye for very long.
Peyton has been wonderful at helping us and coming from SOCi it's like night and day. She is amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Birdeye?
There were a few things we felt we weren't informed about, like the integration issue where everyone could see each other's locations. Since we had asked before to make sure people would only see their own locations. It really confused our network, making it much harder for us to manage. I'd say the biggest thing is that other people could map to other locations that weren't theirs, even if they couldn't see anything else related to another's location.
When it comes to libraries, putting assets into them as templates, the post always goes outside the folder I create it in, which just takes more time to organize.
I think the stock library can sometimes be a bit off in its image suggestions.
I have noticed that many of our users think that tags on posts mean tags like hashtags/social media tags. I would suggest having some type of pop-up that clarifies what that means so users aren't adding tags for no reason, because technically, they don't have the ability to edit tags.
Also, we had a contract for a build for our account; we had worked with an engineer, a specific one, before we even signed the contract, so they understood what we needed to work with BirdEye. I had followed up several times, only to get the same answer. Then we were told that we had agreed on the name, but we hadn't. It was never discussed. We had only seen it once, and then months later, about a few weeks or so before it was supposed to be done, we were scheduled to be shown the tool to begin final approvals, but then they changed the engineer who had been working on it. It was very sudden, but the new engineer was still quite familiar with our business model. However, we wanted the name changed and were originally told they would not change it because they were rolling it out to all BirdEye users, which felt a bit unfair to us because we had given the idea and it was being built, contractually, for our account.
I totally understand wanting to benefit more from a build like that, but I think, initially, it would be better for us to feel like we were the first point of decision on things like that, since it was built for us. I am sure it's a total pain to have to go back and edit the code and stuff, but I would suggest next time, to send regular updates regarding any specific builds like that, so that way everyone is on the same page.
That being said, it was resolved, and they were able to change the name specifically for our account. So it's all good now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
