"Awesome tools for Researchers"
5/5
What do you like best about BioRender?

Several templates and Icons make scientific illustration easy! The poster design tool made me develop a quick poster in less than 20 minutes. Images generated can easily be integrated into other editing software without hassle and retaining the image quality and resolution. I definitely recommend this to all researchers. What do you dislike about BioRender?

The fact that this is completely an online tool limits the users, especially in regions where the internet is not accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great resource for graduate students and researchers!"
5/5
What do you like best about BioRender?

I use BioRender regularly to make publication-quality figures, especially multipanel or methods-based figures. As a PhD student, I use it all the time for manuscripts, grant applications, and presentations. There are numerous icons - even very specific science-related icons for lab and sequencing equipment. It's easy to use, easy to align and make visually appealing figures, and easy to import custom images, plots, or icons for full customization! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BioRender?

I find the free version of BioRender still useful until the export - which is limited to low quality and limited usage rights. To use BioRender for figures in a publication, it's unfortunately necessary to have the paid version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

BioRender does not have many icons in the engineering/chemistry area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Biorender makes making figures easy"
5/5
What do you like best about BioRender?

I like all the preformulated figures which is especially useful chemists who did a tiny bit of biology like me. It makes it so much easier to make figures since I don't have to make them from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BioRender?

There is nothing I dislike! I just wish I did more biology and could use it more! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"BioRender is a helpful tool for creating publication-quality biological figures."
5/5
What do you like best about BioRender?

I like the flexibility and degree of customizability that BioRender offers for biological figure creation. It is easy to use with clear, user-friendly instructions from a point-and-click interface which offers advantages to other figure creation tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BioRender?

I find the pro subscription is very expensive, especially for students on limited budgets. Their option for group licenses is one way to get around this, but I still feel that their services are relatively cost-prohibitive given that they are targeting academics. "Saving me so much time in grad school!"
5/5
What do you like best about BioRender?

Biorender is like if PowerPoint and Photoshop had a baby that's easier to use than both of them and designed specifically for making conceptual diagrams. I love how user friendly it is, all the templates (including posters), and the ability to easily edit icons and shapes and import your own. Audiences are always impressed by my professional diagrams in presentations, when in reality they only took about 10 minutes to make in Biorender. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BioRender?

The free version should be more generous with the number of illustrations you can save and allow high quality versions of those illustrations. Also the illustration and icon databases should include more Ecology content (the content in Biorender leans more toward molecular biology with medical applications). "Win for science communication!"
5/5
What do you like best about BioRender?

As a PhD student, I use BioRender to make figures constantly. I use them to make graphical representations of protocols, figues for talks/posters/pubs, explaining scientific concepts to undergrads, etc. As a visual learner (and teacher), I can better understand and explain complicated concepts if I have a visual representation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BioRender?

Cost of a premium account can be steep for PhD students living on a stipend. Luckily my department recently negotiated a user license! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for those who don't have the time or interest in using Illustrator"

What do you like best about BioRender?

The UX is probably what I love best about BioRender. It's intuitive, easy to use, and clean design. The ability to organize projects by folders is also very helpful. I would definitely recommend the app to others! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BioRender?

I don't think there is currently anything I disklike about the software. Initially (when they first started out) the number of graphics was still somewhat limited but that has since changed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
