Its ecosystem is a rich enviroment that enables great productivity while working on BIM projects. I have used it for multiple projects and I really like the smoothness of working with this tool specially to handle clash detections and close coordination seccsions. **What do you dislike about BIMcollab?** The workflow that exports models to their native application needs further improvments. **What problems is BIMcollab solving and how is that benefiting you?** BIMcollab is mainly used to navigate 3D BIM models with great ease and smoothness, something that can not be achieved in Revit for example. It is also used to detect clashes and work on their solutions. ### 2. You can insert your IFC or design model and generate the clash reports. Review the whole model and create markups and suggestions. **What do you dislike about BIMcollab?** If I compare it with bimtrack so its not having live support that is only one thing otherwise overall its a very good platform to create the clash reports and provide the suggestions on live model. **Recommendations to others considering BIMcollab:** Use this platform for better review of your design model and create the clash reports. Assign the clashes with name of your team member. Show the reviews and suggestions to GC. **What problems is BIMcollab solving and how is that benefiting you?** I generally used to review the clashes marked by general contractor. To track the site issues and minimize the navisworks manual effort. Priorities the clashes according to our requirement for GC to review. ### 3. Besides that, the ease to scale up or down as needs change is also a great thing for account admins, without the need to write emails, make anyu phone calls etc, which adds to the overall time savings and efficiency enhancement that the platform provides. Again as user, it is greatly appreciated to have regularly updated plug ins for all the most relevant design and coordination tools used in our industry, as well as the free ZOOM viewer, which is getting better and better with each release / update. **What do you dislike about BIMcollab?** The lack of an API or similar way of interacting with the platform for e.g. batch processing of tasks and other automations, more flexibility for grouping clashes... I also think that it would be fantastic to be able to run rule based checks for quality assurance etc, and to be able to evaluate results of checks e.g. via the ZOOM viewer. **Recommendations to others considering BIMcollab:** Plan a pilot project first: smallish project, with positive team, define success, record and meassure and adjust frequently, then use leassons learnt to expand implementation strategy to other teams / projects. **What problems is BIMcollab solving and how is that benefiting you?** Multidisciplinary collaboration and coordination of design in mid to big projects, with teams located in geographically distant places. Greatest benefit to us really, comes from reduction in time spent in admin tasks (assigning, reviewing, grading issues/clashes/etc) ### 12.
