They also have great support (I use it for non-urgent matters). When we have requested extra services/features, we are assigned a project manager and they handle the project from start to finish. Usually they get to the question before that time but before I realized we had an account representative, urgent matters took longer than I'd liked because of that. The Billtrust team does put the customer first and from dealing with the team frin onboarding, to the support team and our account manager, they hold that true at each level. Billtrust is a true partner, working with you - to improve your process as well as your customers. **What do you dislike about Billtrust?** The downside we have with Billtrust at this time, is that for selected set up changes to our customers, we have to create a ticket with Billtrust support. Though they continue to improve Customer Connect, they have not yet reached a point where you can make all changes you need for a customer yourself. **Recommendations to others considering Billtrust:** Talk with the great team at Billtrust, see what they can do for your company. I am sure that you will see many benifits by working with Billtrust. You wont get a vendor, you will get a partner. **What problems is Billtrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main issue we solved with Billtrust was invoice presenation. With Billtrust we are able to have customer receive our invoices and statements faster and as a number of them then in turn bill customers, this has been a plus to them as well. We have seen cost savings in supplies, envelopes, paper, postage, toner and ink. We have also been able to replace printers as needed, with lower capacity printers making the replacements more cost effective. Witht the human resources that were saved, we were able to reallocate staff to work on projects and or customer service. This was a win for us as well . Plus the staff were happier as they were able to grow and expand the roles they have within the company. ### 26. I used Billtrust at my previous company, and when I saw how manual the AR process was at my new company, I recommended Billtrust instantly. We're also glad that we have an amazing account manager who helps us with anything and everything we need. **What do you dislike about Billtrust?** One thing that we are still experiencing issues with is the scanned checks being rejected when scanned using Billtrust scanner. We have contacted Billtrust and they have done few modifications to setting however we are still experiencing issues. **What problems is Billtrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** Billtrust has been able to create/publish invoices for us using an open receivable file and e-mail them out to our vendors. In turn, this helps to keep our payment days and DSO in the upper quartile in our industry. **What do you dislike about Billtrust?** There is not a a viable method for grouping invoices by month to show a customer’s aging. Our large volume contractors get very frustrated with needing to click pages of individual transactions to make a payment. We upload our information and then forget about it knowing invoices will be emailed, faxed, or mailed without hesitation. The worst thing is deciding which platform to implement next! Cash Application? The interface is clean and easily able to read and understand where the team is with their queues. For straightforward remittances (minimal deductions or short payments), this system works very well. The system correlates unlinked remittance to electronic payments well. **What do you dislike about Billtrust?** The deduction portion of the Billtrust Cash Application does not interface well with SAP. After reviewing many examples where the data provided by Billtrust to SAP caused SAP to code and write off balances improperly, we discontinued the use of this function. We have been unable to specifically pass a specific lockbox through the process without application which was a feature we used before Billtrust purchasing OpenScan. They were willing to do customized programming, but the cost to benefit could not justify the expense. We have customers that take a flat percentage of the payment (factoring rate) that are directly journaled to a specific general ledger location, and we have not been able to program these payments to apply from Billtrust. Our envelope hit rate is 53%. **What problems is Billtrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** Implementing Machine Learning in our environment resolved our templating issues and issues where the team was forcing through payments with valid clean remittance. Machine Learning increased our envelope hit rate by about 5%. ### 36. We would love to have more flexibility in reporting with more options to format reports in a way that works best for us. We would also love more graphs with drilldown capabilities. She found several things that could be changed. One of the biggest was that we never had Machine learning turned on. So after all the changes we went from about a 15% match rate to a 50% match rate and it has made a big difference. My cash applier is able to get through posting any exceptions much faster now. The system is still learning so we hope that with machine learning on it will up our match rate to maybe 60%. Kalli and her team were great to work with! ### 40.
