Ease of Use: The platform is very user-friendly once you get used to it. The layout is clean, and most tasks like sending invoices or reconciling payments can be done in just a few clicks. It’s intuitive enough that even team members with limited tech backgrounds picked it up quickly. Ease of Implementation: Implementation was smoother than expected. The Billtrust onboarding team walked us through setup, integration, and data migration step by step. Like any enterprise system, there was a learning curve at first, but their guidance and documentation made the process manageable. Customer Support: Customer support has been consistently responsive and helpful. When we’ve run into small issues or needed configuration help, their support team has followed up promptly and resolved things quickly. It’s reassuring to have that level of backing. Frequency of Use: We’re in Billtrust every day — invoicing, tracking payments, and running reports. It’s become a “can’t-live-without” system for our AR department because it handles so many day-to-day workflows in one place. Number of Features: The platform covers just about everything we need: automated invoicing, online payments, cash application, reporting, and integration with our ERP. The analytics tools are especially useful for spotting trends in collections and cash flow. Ease of Integration: Integration with our ERP and accounting system went smoothly. What I dislike about Billtrust is mostly minor and tied to usability, not performance. The platform occasionally logs users out faster than expected, and some features—like report customization or document search—could be a little more intuitive. When new updates roll out, there’s sometimes a short learning curve for the team to adjust. Before implementing it, our invoicing and payment workflows were manual, time-consuming, and error-prone. We dealt with delays in invoice delivery, inconsistent follow-ups, and too much time spent reconciling payments across multiple systems. With Billtrust, we’ve been able to automate invoice delivery, streamline cash application, and reduce manual data entry almost entirely. Payments are now processed faster and more accurately, which has shortened our DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improved cash flow. The system also gives us real-time visibility into the entire AR cycle, so we can easily track outstanding invoices, monitor customer payment habits, and make better forecasting decisions. The remittance window allows me to locate discrepancies within each check so I can screenshot and communicate differences to my team much quicker than manually requesting a remittance. I am also solving an issue with integration that our system has between specific customers that use a number beyond their traditional billing number as the actual billing number. My team often requests to match our internal billing numbers with the customer's numbers. This application allows me to export into an Excel file quickly so I can make matchups as soon as possible.
