**What do you like best about Billo?**

Billo has been a really strong solution for scaling UGC without adding a lot of operational overhead to our team.

From a UI/UX standpoint, the platform is very intuitive and easy to navigate. Creating briefs, uploading scripts, and managing projects is straightforward, and there isn’t much of a learning curve. It’s clear that the workflow was designed with marketers in mind, which makes day-to-day use efficient.

The core value really comes from how streamlined the process is. We’re able to create a brief, push it out to creators, and then review applicants all in one place. Having the ability to choose creators based on fit is a big advantage, especially when you’re trying to maintain brand consistency across different pieces of content.

In terms of performance, turnaround times have been solid and predictable. We’re able to get content produced much faster than we could managing this process manually, and the quality is generally aligned with what we’re looking for when the brief is clear.

On the pricing/ROI side, it’s been worth it for us. When you factor in the time saved from sourcing creators, managing communication, and coordinating deliverables, it’s actually quite cost-effective. It allows our team to focus more on strategy and optimization rather than execution-heavy tasks.

Support and onboarding have also been smooth. The platform is easy enough to pick up quickly, but when needed, the support team has been responsive and helpful.

From an integrations and AI perspective, this isn’t necessarily the strongest area, but it’s also not a core need for us in this workflow. The value of Billo is more in its simplicity and execution rather than advanced automation or AI-driven features.

Overall, Billo has helped us significantly reduce the bandwidth required for UGC production while still giving us control over creative output. It’s been a reliable tool for increasing content volume without overloading the team.t relatively low.

**What do you dislike about Billo?**

While Billo has been very helpful overall, there are a few areas where it could improve.

At times, the quality of creators can be a bit inconsistent. While you do have control over selection, it can still take some trial and error to consistently find creators that fully match your brand voice and expectations. This can occasionally add an extra review cycle.

The platform is also somewhat limited when it comes to integrations and advanced workflow automation. If you’re looking to plug this directly into a broader marketing tech stack or automate parts of the process, there isn’t a ton of flexibility there right now.

From a creative standpoint, results are highly dependent on how detailed and clear your brief is. If instructions aren’t very specific, you may end up needing revisions, which can slow things down slightly.

Pricing can also add up if you’re producing a high volume of content regularly. While the ROI makes sense in many cases, it’s something that needs to be actively managed to ensure efficiency at scale.

Lastly, while the platform is easy to use, there isn’t a lot of advanced functionality or AI-driven optimization built in yet. It does the core job well, but there’s room for growth in terms of smarter recommendations or performance insights.

Billo is primarily solving the challenge of scaling UGC production without requiring a large amount of internal time and resources.

Before using Billo, creating UGC meant manually sourcing creators, handling outreach, negotiating, coordinating deliverables, and managing timelines. That process was time-consuming and difficult to scale, especially as content demands increased across multiple brands and channels.

With Billo, that entire workflow is centralized and much more efficient. We’re able to quickly create briefs, distribute them to a pool of creators, and select talent that aligns with our needs—all within one platform. This has significantly reduced the operational burden on our team.

The biggest benefit has been the ability to produce more content, faster, without increasing headcount or stretching our team thin. It’s allowed us to shift our focus away from execution-heavy tasks and spend more time on strategy, testing, and performance optimization.

Ultimately, it’s helped us keep up with the growing demand for UGC while maintaining control over quality and brand alignment, which has been a big win from a marketing efficiency standpoint.

**What do you like best about Billo?**

Not much - very low pay for high expectations.

**What do you dislike about Billo?**

As a creator who has been creating content with Billo since August of 2021 I can promise you everything is good...until it's not.  EVERY single time there has been an issue with the client, Billo has taken the side of the client.  EVERY TIME. They want 10 scenes for a 30 second video that you tell them won't fit - they assure you it'll fit and to do your best. They needed to purchase a 60 second video, but they are being cheap.  This particular client wanted to use my horses, fields and cut a hole in my trough for a $40 pay out. Then you turn in the max 40 seconds (not getting paid for the extra 10 seconds) to get the max 2 edit requests for things you warned them about in the first place.  Then Billo will offer you a shameful $5-$10 to fix it even though you've already done that twice as best you can to fit. This last time was it for me.  The final video was 47 seconds for a 30 second gig. Had to spend extra time to cut it down.  Edit requests twice because I had to cut it down.  As expected, Billo reaches out, so I ask them to review the initial conversation where I told the client IT WON'T FIT before I accepted the gig (they reached out to ME to do the video). They do review the conversation, apologize and say the client is difficult. I think, FINALLY Billo recognizes some are simply unreasonable. They offer me $30 to redo it - I said I would but would need to upload differently since as I already stated - it exceeded the allowable upload time.  While I was paid for the video, I was not paid the additional promised money.  When I asked about it they said the client wasn't responding. Which as far as I'm concerned is not on me, that's on them. I completed my agreed upon obligation, Billo has not. I'm not new at this - I've completed 593 video with 100% on time delivery score and 4.86 of 5 star rating on 221 reviews.

**What problems is Billo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It seemed to be a decent income if you did A LOT of videos for them before AI. Now it's almost useless and the clients have $5000 commercial expectations for $40 (literally, you get $40 for a 30 second video)

I like that billo makes it easy to connect with creators and showcases their reviews, examples, and strengths. There are also a lot of great resources that make creating content and writing briefs easier, especially for smaller teams with less internal resources. The pricing is very competitive and we love that we can easily add on creator images as well to use throughout our marketing efforts and also on our website.

The downside to using billo is it makes it a bit hard to build strong, long-term relationships with creators.

It's making content creation and creator sourcing a lot easier for our small but mighty team. I love that some of the creators have been with the platform for years. It just validates that it's a great long-term growth tool.

I like how Billo has unlocked scale and affordability for us as a business that's constantly testing and needing to pump out as much content as possible. The platform is extremely user-friendly and easy to work with. It has enabled us to reach high-quality users who can very promptly follow our creative briefs, and the quality of videos is sufficient for the price we pay. I'm excited to continue using Billo to support our future creative needs. I like the ease of use and the affordability. The creator discovery is very easy and it matches us with users who are high quality and likely to fulfill our creative briefs. The initial setup was very easy, and although I was hoping for an invoice option, the credit card option works fine.

I think Billo can source even more high-quality creators. Expanding that library would help.

I use Billo for working with UGC creators and really like the fast turnaround times with quality assets that can be used for both paid social and organic testing. I appreciate Billo's easy UI, which makes it simple to submit briefs, source creators, and even communicate with them in real-time. The creators on the platform are also very fast and efficient. I found the initial setup of Billo to be super easy and straightforward, which I loved.

The help desk (chat function) can be a bit slow. When I started using Billo, it took multiple days for someone to get in touch with me. I would like more visibility in line or a real estimation on when I will be helped. A lot of notifications say they are experiencing higher volumes, which doesn't really tell me when I'll be assisted.

I really like how Billo allows us to find good quality UGC creators and work with them seamlessly, removing a lot of the admin work for me. I love that it eliminates a lot of back and forth in emails because everything is straightforward with clearly laid out requirements and parameters. Getting and requesting edits on videos is very seamless, and the ease of use stands out as well. I enjoy the new features like requesting whitelisting and other services, which are really helpful. Having all the creators on one platform is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Billo?**

I don't like the lack of invoicing or financial reporting. I can't see which creator I've paid money to and how much I paid them. It would be really nice to have that detail. All I can see is how much money I've loaded into Billo, and how much money has come out of my account, but it doesn't say where it's going to or anything like that. So more detailed financial invoicing would be really beneficial.

I like that Billo is easy to use, which really helps with managing creators as it simplifies the process. The fixed pricing is another aspect I appreciate, which makes budgeting much easier. It's great for agencies because of the good prices, and I've found it to be better than trend.io. The initial setup was also easy, which was a relief.

**What do you dislike about Billo?**

If you spend $5k multiple times, they don't level up your account status. They force you to buy $10k in one shot for that status, which is weird. Also, when booking a creator, there are only two options (2 unique videos or 4 hooks), and both cost $393. They should have a lower tier option too.

I use Billo to manage creators, payments, and accountability efficiently, eliminating the back and forth process.

I love how Billo connects me with a large number of creators. It's great that it allows me to both invite creators I like and approve those who apply to my post. It's a platform where I can find tons of UGC creators to turn my scripts into videos at a reasonable price. Plus, the initial setup was very easy.

I don't like how prices aren't flexible and I'm not technically allowed to work out bundle deals/etc with creators.

It's really easy to use. It's streamlined the process of reaching and briefing creators. The customer support is also excellent.

I wish that you could easily request edits just from the Billo creative team, so not from the creator. There have been instances when I have needed, for example, the music turned down, and I've had to go through customer support to get the issue rectified.

Billo enables me to produce a larger quantity of quality content quickly. For Meta ads, this has proved invaluable, and despite the content being cheaper than a lot of the content I've received direct from the creator, it often performs just as well, if not better.

**What do you like best about Billo?**

It was easy to create my briefs, and the content I received was great. The creators have an easy systematized approach to creating short videos that work well for social media.

**What do you dislike about Billo?**

It's not made for everyday social media content, so it's only useful for creating advertising content such as unboxing videos, testimonials, and informative videos about the products. It would be wonderful to have the option to hire creators to do posts with another layer of creativity.

**Recommendations to others considering Billo:**

Be sure to know what you want your video to look like, and the essential words you want used. If you leave it up to the creator you may wish you'd said something later. Know your top 3 most essential pieces for inclusion.

**What problems is Billo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Billo creators provide video content for small business advertisers at a set rate, so it's easy to budget and garner content pretty quickly. They have just a few types of content options available, making it easy to know what you can accomplish on the site.

We used Billo to outsource content creators to create UGC-style videos for advertising.

**What do you like best about Billo?**

Platform was super simple to use and provided seamless communication to the content creators. Sourcing creators was easy because all we had to upload a project description, and then several creators would submit an application.

**What do you dislike about Billo?**

Unfortunately, when we used the platform there weren't enough creators in our target demo, so we couldn't get the content we needed. This could change as the platform grows, so I'd be willing to try it out again.

**What problems is Billo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem we were solving with Billo was finding an easy way to outsource and manage UGC content. The best benefit was having users apply to create UGC content instead of looking for creators on social media.
