Having come from multiple generations of Solidworks PDM, Bild is a breath of fresh air. The Windows desktop is a very simple clean interface. New comers to source control for CAD files are able to pick this up easily and the online web previewing also makes it easy to use for non-CAD members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Bild isn't without bugs, but so far they have been relatively minor things and tech support has been very responsive to my inquiries! I do find there isn't quite the same level of detailed access control, but it's easy enough to create a separate repo folder if you need to have access restrictions. Bild did have some stability and naming issues early on, but the team is on top of updating the software, and over a short period I have already seen a massive improvement. The ease of use and the program is a straight forward thinking. It is a PDM we want and this is what it is, not too much of functions so you get distracted.

Using the software can be disturbing in the early stages especially if you had another solution before. The guide helps well, and Bild team is always ready to answer any question we may have or had so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Bild is flexible in how you can implement it. We have found ways to easily implement systems that are important to us and can not implement functions that are not important for us.

The implementation was fast and easy, we are able to submit solidworks and binary files for control. We use the design library for parts, but also for templates and other documents.

We have implemented automatic part numbering, but setup our solidworks files so that we can also over-ride the automatic part numbering easily by entering a part number (this is sometimes helpful for certain customers or COTS items).
