What problems is BIGVU solving and how is that benefiting you?
BIGVU tackles several common problems in video content creation, making the process smoother and more efficient. One of my biggest hurdles is delivering a clear, confident message on camera. The teleprompter feature solves this so I can read my script naturally while maintaining eye contact with the audience. The auto-pause function enhances this by letting me take natural breaks without disrupting the flow. It's like having a teleoperator that a TV station might use; but built into the app.
Editing can also be a time-consuming and tedious process, but BIGVU streamlines it with script-based editing. Instead of manually trimming and cutting out words, once recorded I edit the transcribed script, and the video adjusts accordingly - making it easy to cut out 'ums' and 'ers'. This saves a huge amount of time and ensures a professional finish with minimal effort, especially as I'm not a professional presenter.
Captions are another challenge that BIGVU handles well. Automatically generated on branded screen captions enhance accessibility and engagement which ensure videos reach a wider audience watching on their phone with the sound off - without the need for additional software. The integration between mobile and desktop environments also simplifies my workflow, allowing me to draft scripts on my desktop, load them into the teleprompter on my phone, and finalise edits back on my computer. I can see businesses using their teams plan - having roles for script writers, a presenter, camera person, editor and social media manager all working with the same platform across their devices. Also, having it tied in with all social accounts allows you to upload once to all connected platforms and get reporting data back progress of each video.
While the reliance on cloud video processing can sometimes slow things down, the overall convenience outweighs this drawback (the built-in filters though run too slowly on an iPhone 13 Pro). The ability to quickly produce polished videos makes BIGVU an ideal tool for anyone on a content treadmill, helping me stay productive and maintain a consistent output with minimal friction. One issue is the inconsistency between mobile and desktop functionality. Some branding customisations, like colour schemes, can't be adjusted across all devices, which creates workflow hiccups. Additionally, deleted files and outtakes tend to stay in the cloud after repeatedly deleting them manually, cluttering the interface. But - if they can improve speed, reliability, and cross-platform consistency, it will be an absolute must-have for content professionals and businesses looking to create regular content. It's still a new piece of software, so I'm giving it some room to improve - but a solid start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
