I like that my time entry lines carry over from week to week since many of my tasks are recurring. It saves time and makes entering hours much faster. The notifications when entries are rejected are also helpful because I know exactly what needs to be updated. The software is very buggy and support can be slow to address issues. Right now we have two open support tickets regarding issues that are affecting our outgoing invoices. One of them has been open for 6 months old and the other 16 months. In recent communication about the issue it became clear to us that they do not have any intentions to actually fix the issues. This is obviously frustrating because we do not like sending out invoices to our clients that have these sloppy errors prominently displayed. 2/28/25 Update: We are going through another cycle of billing and the errors in our invoices still persist. Will check in again. 4/4/25 Update: Another cycle of billing and our invoices continue going out with two different errors that have not been resolved. Will continue occasionally checking in to share our experience. 8/8/25 Update: It is been a while, but I thought the two year anniversary for one of our outstanding support tickets was a good time to check back in. We are still in the queue for attention to be paid to the aforementioned bugs in our original review. 3/4/26 - Just wanted to check-in to further update that the aforementioned issues still plague our invoices. I will reiterate that BigTime does some things well. However, use our experience and timeline here as an example of the company can be more focused on rolling out new features than they are driven to make sure that current features are working as well as they should be. 8/3/26 - Bugs are still not fixed. Please continue using this ongoing review as an example of the bugs and customer service you will have to deal with. What do you dislike about BigTime? I dislike that I can't add or manage my vacation or banked time in Bigtime. It would make my weekly time submissions a lot easier and one less step. I like how BigTime makes it easy to track time and invoice projects. Invoicing directly from the program has been helpful, and it's a quicker process than what we were doing before. What do you dislike about BigTime? i cannot use the timers. whatever the last update you all did to the timers made them unusable. i have to go back in and manually re-enter information each time i use them so i stopped using them all together. it makes timekeeping much more cumbersosme without the ability to use the timers. i am working on a mac and from waht i understand this problem only affects mac users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. We’re glad the dropdown structure makes general time entry convenient. At the same time, hearing that the timer has become unusable on Mac and is forcing manual re-entry is concerning. If a feature meant to save time is creating extra work instead, that clearly needs attention. We encourage you to contact our support team directly so they can investigate the Mac-specific behavior and determine whether there is a fix or workaround available.
