"Impressive PSA Tool!"

What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

Projector PSA has tremendously helped our company move to the next tier of project and company management. It has provided us with invaluable insights into our project performance and helped automate many of our accounting and administrative systems. Their support team is top notch and has assisted us with getting the most out of the program. Their web portal is also easy to use and adopt quickly. The recent addition of Microsoft PowerBI to their Advanced Analytics Module has allowed us to create informative interactive reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BigTime Projector?

The only two things that we would change: a pre-built connector for Zoho and Quickbooks Desktop connector for the Advanced Analytics Module. The Quickbooks issue stems from the analytics company they use for their Advanced Analytics Module, which does not have a connector. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering BigTime Projector:

I highly recommend implementing the AAM. The tool is quite powerful for creating useful KPIs. Additionally make sure to contact their support team with any questions or recommendations. What problems is BigTime Projector solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have been able to manage and review each of our projects performance seamlessly with their management and online portals. Their Advanced Analytics Module has allowed us to create intuitive Key Performance Indicators which have made our project managers more productive and proactive instead of reactive to project changes. What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

Projector PSA understands service businesses like ours, including the importance of appropriately modeling projects with both actual hours reported and forecast hours for the future. Their online help is pleasantly informative and easy to search/read, and their support team is extremely responsive with emailed replies (usually within 24 hours or faster) and ideas for troubleshooting tricky matters. What do you dislike about BigTime Projector?

While the management portal is very functional, it isn't exceptionally pretty or always intuitive. The Projector BI analytics tool is also powerful but similarly tricky to work with at times. The time management functions of Projector are also basically functional but a little rigid (very straightforward for project work but not the easiest for managing and reporting on time away, including accruals of PTO, etc.). What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

Projector PSA has changed the way we do business. Our ability to see real time information has made us proactive in client and associate communications. We can find resources with the skills more quickly and availability much more quickly. Since the introduction of Projector in November 2019, we have not had to provide any client credits.

Our invoicing cycle has improved drastically. We have moved form several days of manual invoicing down to one day! It takes so much less time to close out our month, providing us with quick access to data needed to make important business decisions.

What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

As the title says "If it's not in Projector it doesn't exist" is what we say and that is because, before we do anything (plan for timeline, for resources, for budget, etc) the first order of business is get your project into the system so everyone involved can see what's coming down the pipeline.

We rely on Projector for: PM, Staffing, Data Accuracy, Business Plans, you name it. It is already part of our culture, on the way out, on the door it says :"Did you enter your time?"

Projector provides a clear, concise picture of your current business: projects, resources, needs, people's availability or lack of for now and for many months into the future. It is easy to make decisions when you have the correct data 2 clicks away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BigTime Projector?

We want a more flexible way of interacting with it and one of those ways would be APIs. We are a software development company so we have developers on hand that could automatize some tasks easily if we had an API to talk to Projector. That is my only “wish” and not an actual dislike.

Some would say the old style of design is a dislike – for me it is a BIG like. I don’t want impractical beautifiers making the app look like an iPhone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

Projector has automated our processes and given up great insight into our projects. We can easily review and monitor budgets of all our projects, P&L and utilisation ... now more manual tracking of projects and spreadsheets! :D

What do you dislike about BigTime Projector?

We really need a Work In Progress report which we would have assumed would be an out of box report for Projector, so a little disappointed thats not there and manipulating other reports to get to some kind if WIP

What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

How it brings it all together - clients, engagements, projects serviced by roles, resources and rate cards within our organisation, to generate revenue. What do you dislike about BigTime Projector?

The multi-year WIP migration from the Management Portal to Projector Web. It is by no means a show-stopper, but I look forward to the day when I can do everything from a single interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering BigTime Projector:

As with most mature and feature-rich packages, there are a multitude of configuration options. Do not fall into the trap of believing you can navigate your way optimally through the config. choices: invest the time and money and engage a configuration support consultant (put forward by Projector), make sure there are at least two of you working through the configuration process and make sure that at least one of you is dedicated to the config and conversion project. What problems is BigTime Projector solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are solving a number of problems:

o We have much better control of project rates and costs

o We have a complete view of all resource bookings, requests and utilisation (by resource or role type). This allows to pro-actively address over and under-utilisation issues and also drives capacity planning and recruitment activities

o Complete control of project costs and revenue-drivers through the user of both time and expense capture directly into Projector

o Through reporting, we have been able to:

* flag potential revenue shortfalls and rectify these

* monitor variances in EAC project profit leading to the early identification of issues which can then be addressed

Tangible benefits have not been tracked, but put simple, our investment in Projector will pay handsomely as it will help us avoid the inherent errors and data quality issues that beset any growing organisations running on multiple, linked spreadsheets. In addition - with a bit of work - we are able to extract data to support the population of an operational cashflow forecast model. What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

Easy of Use: time entry, expense entry, approvals and especially invoicing, including distribution

What problems is BigTime Projector solving and how is that benefiting you?

Better time entry, better future resource plans, more efficient approvals and quicker invoice at the end of the month. We achieved all of these: especially the invoice generation - prior to Projector it would take us our accounting team two weeks to prepare, get approvals and issue 30-40 invoices. Now we get 90+ sent within a week of end of the billing period.

We also get our weekly Wildly Important Goal (WIG) from Projector: weekly project-billable hours. This lets us track our company performance on a regular basis to see how we are meeting our corporate goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

I mainly use Projector Management Portal which I find easier to maneuver between the various tabs than the Projector Web, which is still a work in progress.
