What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

The Projector team made implementation a breeze by first taking the time to understand our business and then helping us tailor our set-up to fit our needs. The interface for entering time is extremely user friendly and the ability to export Excel-based reporting has really helped us analyze our business in multiple ways. What do you dislike about BigTime Projector?

I like the Time and Expenses feature. Also I like the support team which are prompt in response. I like the materials which are used for support.(very well drafted) The reporting wizard is also good. What do you like best about BigTime Projector?

Provides a straight forward approach that is very intuitive to understand and use. As the financial administrator for the firm, I live in the Administration portal of the product and rely on it / refer to it all day long. I can check on the status of projects and generate as many reports /analysis as i need to make sound business decisions. They have always been receptive / responsive to all of our questions / concerns and come up with solutions to our sometimes unique situations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BigTime Projector?

I am old school and relatively easy to please. I am very happy with the product. I set it up for what I want / need and it delivers consistently. Others more "creative types" complained about the products UI. Projector heard from us and others and has embarked on addressing those issues to everyone's satisfaction. As early adopters of Projector we switched from an home-grown internal system that was completely inadequate. Projector provides everything we need to manage projects, revenue and expenses. At first, the learning curve seems challenging but after using it for 1 week, it becomes easier. After a few weeks, you really start to understand the power behind the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering BigTime Projector:

Many of the other solutions are 100% web-based forms, which looks sexy and fun but the problem is that none of them allow the flexibility that Projector provides. You can enter data into Projector through many different ways. In maintaining resource allocations, you can, for example, cut and paste in a range of values from a spreadsheet directly into the tool. None of the 100% web-based tools allowed anything like that as they only allowed you to enter one field at a time, which is labor intensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BigTime Projector solving and how is that benefiting you?

Resource scheduling: allows our project managers to balance their needs across our large teams, which are constantly evolving, while keeping utilization high. Revenue Management: allows us to provide both high-level and detailed analysis of revenue projections in a matter of minutes with complete accuracy, where before it would take days of manual effort. It is straight forward to use and pretty intuitive in terms of figuring out how to do input things. As an administrator of the firm, it is pretty easy to review and access the information of my employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BigTime Projector?

I would like to have the capability of splitting expenses between two different projects. For instance if we have an individual expense and a portion should go to one client and the remainder to another client or to an internal project number you have to manually input this twice.

The other capability that would be nice is the ability to do your time and expenses on your computer when not connected and synch this up later. This would be a real time saver if you could do this on a plane without wifi access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows us to capture both our time and expenses for client matters and internal related efforts accurately and efficiently. It is very flexible in terms of setting up new client project numbers and allows us to be flexible and responsive to our changing needs. It is easy for our employees to learn and use.
