PRA supports secure remote access - By secure, I mean trusted, encrypted, and no direct access (proxied). PRA supports Controls, SCADA, and environment remote access - They certify themselves in many ways (such as NERC-CIP) to support the use of their product in environments that require strict regulations about remote access. PRA supports 3rd parties - They have a section/method to add your 3rd party contractors, and vendors in a safe manner to grant remote access not just to your employees, but to the companies you do business with. Granted this product is well thought out and more secure for remote management than most, so there's a reason why they are more expensive, but it doesn't discount that if you're on a budget, you probably can't justify the higher cost. If the safe and secure remote access is at or near the top of your list then this is a serious contender. Know your budget. This product is not going to be inexpensive, but it will do the things you need it to. Have in house support. Your best chances are to have an expert in-house who can configure this product for you. Remote Administrative access to critical systems in a secure manner for both our administrative employees and 3rd party vendors we have strong relationships with. We need it to be in a safe manner, we needed a product that is certified by several regulatory bodies, and PRA turned out to be a great fit. This is among the easiest to setup solutions I have ever helped deploy, on top of that it was an absolute lifesaver when it came to helping maintain our SLA's during our extended WFH period during the pandemic. The hardest hurdle for our organization was training end users how to actually allow the support staff to utilize the remote access. The security of protocol breaks results in an unquestioned above and beyond of NERC CIP-005 Requirement 2 . We depend on this product to help us remain compliant with NERC CIP standards and it does it perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access? NERC CIP requires us to be checking our devices for compliance constantly. The BeyondTrust PRA units we own are so secure that we can't connect to them through traditional means such as SSH or Powershell. We find it quite easy to communicate to compliance professionals that once they see we're using the solution that it's believed that we're using an industry leader in interactive remote access.
