Don't hesitate to purchase this product. The price of the license has been covered in my time saved. Beyond Compare gives me total confidence in being able to decommission a server or workstation knowing that all of the files have been copied over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Beyond Compare solving and how is that benefiting you?

When moving large amounts of data from one server to another or copying large amounts of data for replicating our processes, I use Beyond Compare to verify that all files have been transferred. I also use it to demonstrate to users that I have backed up all of their local files to another medium. It works across operating systems and across file systems. I've used it to help users clean up after years of poor file management. Beyond Compare can easily copy any files found missing in a destination directory. What do you like best about Beyond Compare?

It allows us to compare and files and folders. It provides a basis for making integrity within code. By comparing our latest file to the previous version, we can ensure that it contains only our changes, and we did not make any amendments which is not related to our requirement. It's highlighting the difference and allows us to shift the changes from old to new and vice versa. It provides us a facility to have several comparisons simultaneously by giving tabbing options. It can also compare remote directories using FTP or SFTP. It allows us to compare and edit both at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Comparing files and folder operation is now made easy by Beyond Compare. You can compare files and folders side by side. There is a feature to compare multiple files and folders in a tabbed manner. This means that you are not comparing two files; you can make various comparisons simultaneously. What do you like best about Beyond Compare?

Beyond Compare is a very simple tool for comparing texts. It says that it does beyond just comparing but I found it most useful only while comparing texts. I have also tried to use WinMerge which also has functionality of comparing text, but I found Beyond Compare much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Beyond Compare?

I needed to compare two files for a quick check on the differences and similarities. My boss notified me about Beyond Compare to use. I Google Searched for the tool and was able to evaluate it for free. It was very easy to figure out how to use it and it gave extremely fast results that were clear and colored RED for which file had only a record, and green for common records for both. If you need a comparison tool that is easy to learn on your own, then I would choose Beyond Compare. I was able to figure it out in a few minutes without using a manual, and it was very easy to install the free trial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Beyond Compare solving and how is that benefiting you?

I needed a manual way to compare a MASTER file and an UPDATE file until my boss could set up an automated process. This was to keep an eContract membership database up to date for Customer membership discounts on training courses we provide. It was very quick and say to use for a manual check. This helped us improve Customer service by reducing the time needed to keep a database up-to-date. I was set up with GitHub access (specific to one file pairing task I perform) and I use that, but if I need to do a different file compare I would use Beyond Compare, and I would ask for a license as the cost is low.
