Betterview is a property intelligence and workflow application that helps insurance companies provide accurate quotes, accelerate underwriting, and improve pricing and risk selection. Underwriters use Betterview to assess property risk remotely, reducing reliance on physical inspections when reviewing new business, renewals, or claims. The application combines high-resolution aerial imagery with AI-generated property detections, third-party data, and a carrier's own internal policy data in a single view. Property condition is summarized through a 100-point Roof Spotlight Index and peril risk scores for hazards including hail, cyclones, bush/wildfires, and wind events, giving underwriters a standardized way to compare risk across a portfolio rather than reviewing raw imagery property by property. Betterview also supports automated monitoring: it flags properties for review based on custom rules and detected changes, and notifies users when a change is identified on an insured property between capture dates. Betterview also supports claims teams, who use its historical imagery and change-detection capability to help establish property condition before a loss and determine when damage occurred, alongside faster, more transparent claims processing. Betterview is used by underwriting, claims, and risk management teams at property and casualty insurance carriers throughout the policy lifecycle, from new business quoting and underwriting through renewal and claims assessment, to evaluate property condition and risk without scheduling a site visit for every property under review.
