BetterDemand is demand planning and production scheduling software for mid-market food, beverage and consumer product manufacturers. It reads the exports your ERP already produces (Business Central, NetSuite, SAP or Excel) and gives planners three things in one system: a demand forecast by item, a finite schedule by line and shift, and a plain-English Agent that answers questions across both. Demand forecasting. The forecaster builds statistical forecasts from your sales history, with separate short-range and long-range models. It picks the best-fitting model for each item and backtests it against past periods, so planners can see how accurate it would have been. Planners can change the model, adjust or override the forecast, add promotion windows, and compare the forecast month by month against a forecast submitted by a customer or retailer. Forecasts can be set at the item level or the customer level and rolled up or down between them. For manufacturers with more than one plant, forecasts carry through to each location. Capacity and scheduling. The capacity module shows what each line can really make by shift, using your rates, crews, changeovers and efficiency. It checks every scheduled run against projected material availability, flags late purchase orders, and names the order whose timing decides the run. It respects a frozen horizon and shows how often the schedule wanted to break it. Where one plant is short and another has excess, it puts the transfer next to the purchase option. The Agent. Planners ask questions in plain English, such as whether the plant can take a new order and when. Answers come from your own schedule and orders, and each answer names the file and date it came from. Setup and data. Most teams are live in weeks. You send the files your team already exports, and a senior supply chain planner works the setup with you. Each customer gets a dedicated instance and its own database. Nothing is shared with another company, and customer data is not used to train a model. Pricing starts at $500 per month, with a year-one money-back guarantee.
