BetterCloud is a great "middle man" between our apps like Okta, Google, and FreshService. It allows us to set up automations and workflows between apps that we normally wouldn't be able to do. For example, a manager wants a Google Group containing users with a specific job title (eg. "SDR") and for membership to automatically update when new hires join. This wouldn't be possible without BetterCloud which monitors the Okta groups for membership changes and then adds that Google user to the group. We also use BC for our offboarding workflow which is pretty extensive and would take up to an hour per person to do manually.

A while back we moved away from BetterCloud in favor of Okta Workflows since we were already paying for that, even though it's not as user friendly. Recently, I set up BetterCloud again in Okta after they acquired G2 Track, and the SSO setup was super easy, so I still recommend BetterCloud even though we're not actively using it anymore! We use Google Integration mostly, but you can set up more apps. What we like the most is being able to onboard and de-provision users faster, create and manage groups, licenses, signatures, apps - all in one place. Setting up delegation access is simpler (for employees who are in training, for example - their supervisors can share emails for a time and that's really helpful). You can create email addresses in bulk or individually. You can run scripts on google drive and track ownership of documents, set up and monitor alerts and audit logs, control roles and priveleges (that's great for security). You can create workflows. Simple and powerful interface. Loads of functionality. I love how BetterCloud for Workspace replaces Google Admin panel for anything user or group related. I love using it for staff signatures. Creating and managing groups is a breeze.

When I move users to a departed group account, I now have it set to automatically disable, remove from groups, and hide the user from the directory. Makes everything faster and easier for offboarding.

Having to use the sync feature manually sometimes is annoying. It syncs every night, but sometimes you need to use it in the middle of the day. When creating groups with external email addresses in the interface, you have to do each one separately. You can upload a spreadsheet to do many at once, but doing it in the interface is the way I like to use it. Ease of functionality. It's a simple and practical interface that the end user can easily maneuver without much additional support. Some companies can overcomplicate their product pages, but that is not the case with BetterCloud. We used this application daily and had no issues when implementing the product into our system. When on the Contact Information page on an individual user, every time you click off of the tab, it still asks if you want to make your changes despite NOT making any changes. This alert can be confusing as you become worried you've edited something you did not intend to. We haven't experienced any other issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

BetterCloud offers a robust set of tools that IT admins can leverage in their day to day operations. Most of my work can be automated within BetterCloud which frees me up to do more important tasks. One big gripe i have with BetterCloud is that their platforms are disjointed for Google. Would be great to have their legacy platform work with their new workflow platform. Part of tools like this is to consodliate and not have to jump around. There are also features found in similar free platforms that BetterCloud does not address. It has more checks and balances than google admin so there is less likely hood of mistakes happening within the Better Cloud system. BetterCloud is an extremely easy tool to use. They have so many different native integrations making it super easy to import data for expense reports and automations. They have a whole team ready to help you with the onboarding process for anything that does not pull over automatically for you. Step-by-step instructions for onboarding and offboarding users, the ability to transfer a user's drive easily is extremely handy for our organiztion. We also like the automatic deletion of suspended accounts.
