What do you like best about BetterCloud?

BetterCloud provides an easy-to-use and easy-to-design business automation tool. Unlike most other tools integrating and designing the workflow can be quite difficult. However, in BetterCloud, it could not be easier. The centralization of data also makes this much easier to audit all our critical tools for security purposes. What do you dislike about BetterCloud?

BetterCloud Manage does not provide actions for all use cases. The most common activities you need are there, but sometimes there is no way to customize the workflow steps to what you need in some cases. What do you like best about BetterCloud?

Something that is good and bad about BetterCloud is its complexity. It is nice to have a lot of options, but there are so many things you can do, sometimes it is difficult to find exactly what you are looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a lot of processes that require the same steps every time. Sometimes parts of that process would get skipped or forgotten. By implementing BetterCloud, we have ensured that every step in the process is completed correctly. It saves us time by automating the process, but it also saves time in not having to go back and ensure all parts of the step were completed properly. "Very Happy with Bettercloud"

What do you like best about BetterCloud?

"Bettercloud? More like bestercloud."

What do you like best about BetterCloud?

Bettercloud has been able to automate a lot of the work that my department (or partner departments) would typically perform. Onboarding is smoother, offboarding is smoother, even some items (like granting access to Office 365 and resetting passwords) are no longer touched internally, saving us a ton of time.

There is also the g.bettercloud.com console, which is phenomenal. The interface provides you with a lot of the same actions as the workflows, but I can make edits more on-demand and bulk edit/actions a lot quicker.

There are even some actions (e.g. delegating inboxes) which we are not capable of doing in the google admin console, but BetterCloud can do for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BetterCloud?

I am a strong believer in dark mode, and will always decry its lack of availability.

I haven't been able to visit the flight school yet, but I wish there were trainings around some integrations available (e.g. the who/what/when/where/how you need to create a zendesk ticket --> have bettercloud see this ticket --> perform actions in jamf pro, or another integration).'

It's not a dislike but a "wish I could." I love the g.bettercloud.com console (As mentioned in my likes section). I'd love to see a similar dashboard made for other integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

onboarding/offboarding - automating a lot of the work that used to be done manually, or used to be impossible in general (delegating inboxes in google workspace is a nightmare)

DLP - I'm not on the security side, but I know we've used it to prevent items being shared that shouldn't, or restrict permissions (e.g. an external company was given edit access when it should have been view only). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Benefits of Using BetterCloud for a Small IT Department"

What do you like best about BetterCloud?

I find it very easy to find information about users and groups using BetterCloud. It is also straightforward to create user and group accounts. This is important because we are a small department that usually has to make accounts in batches for our monthly new staff training. Another positive point is the level of support BetterCloud provides. When we started with BetterCloud, we had some basic questions and quite a few more about intricate procedures we wanted to accomplish. Rather than dig through FAQs, we found it easier to ask the BetterCloud staff. They were always very responsive through chat, phone, or video conferencing. Even after being customers for several years, we still receive the same high level of support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BetterCloud?

We do not have any glaring issues with BetterCloud, but there is one thing that can be irritating. The problem is with the Last Logged In date. It is rarely close to accurate and is usually off by months and sometimes years. Granted, there is a delay in the reporting from Google Admin, but the data rarely resolves to something accurate. We are generally able to make the information useful by extrapolation, though. In all fairness, I don't believe we have brought this up to BetterCloud Support, so it must not be that important an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

BetterCloud is our primary tool for creating user and group email accounts. BetterCloud is quicker to use than the Google Admin interface for our needs. The scalability of BetterCloud has been essential as we continue replacing staff lost through attrition during the lockdown phases now that hiring and training have ramped up again. What do you like best about BetterCloud?

We are only using BetterCloud in coordination with our Gmail accounts, but we love the amount of control that it gives us over those accounts. And unfortunately, we are only given access to a small portion of BetterCloud's amazing features from our parent company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BetterCloud?

I don't like that whenever you leave the contacts page, it always asks you if you want to save or discard your changes. Even if you didn't change a thing.

I also don't like that there's a 50 user cap on the email signatures, or that you can't add groups to those signature rules. We've got to maintain 6 "different" email signatures, that are all identical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BetterCloud?

BetterCloud helps the offboarding experience smoothly and securely (we do not use BetterCloud for onboarding but I am sure they also have some great features for it). They also have some good data reporting tools and DLP remediate action in place. Their Google integration (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) is also very good and we utilize it very often. What do you dislike about BetterCloud?

BetterCloud still has some of its own limitations, such as it has a limit of 500 files it can take action at a time so if your company has lots of data that you need to take action on, expect some manual work to be done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
