There isn't much to dislike. I hope it expands and adds integrations with other applications further down the road. It's training is also fantaistic. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bettercloud has allowed us to automate our onboarding and offboarding not only does this drastically reduce workload it also removes room for error by humans and allows you to set up alerts to notify when users are having log on issues. ### 2. It is easy to purchase and implement software in an environment and leave, but continued LIVE support is quite the rarity. Literally every single time we, as a company had a question of any type, the bettercloud live chat support system has fully tackled it with me in a one on one environment. It is fantastic support and we do not have ANY software that comes even close to that level of support. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** The biggest downside is that the Bettercloud platform constantly has hiccups. 99% of the time the hiccups eventually resolves itself or reaches a solution, but it would be nice if the platform had a lot less hiccups. Biggest concern is the workflows. They tend to work but often they have hiccups and we simply have to wait until a resolution. Consistent results would be a huge plus. Lastly, we still use "app.bettercloud.com" and "g.bettercloud.com" we would like to visit less sites and have everything bundled up into one clean platform or site. **Recommendations to others considering BetterCloud:** Take your time when creating workflows and really focus on the order of steps. Even the simplest "disable user" step can have a ripple effect if out of order in the workflows. Also, take advantage of the live support - we probably wouldn't have Bettercloud if we did not receive this live support feature. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem I am solving with Bettercloud is time saving! In the aspect of provisioning and de-provisioning software, that takes alot of time. Depending on the size of the org, this is literally hundreds of hours in just clicking thru software. This is time that can be better applied elsewhere. Workflows save an incredible amount of time and the biggest benefit: project and employee focus! This newly saved time allows us to focus on employee satisfaction and projects to improve the quality of life for the company. ### 8. Implementing BetterCloud not only makes it quick and easy, it improves our security posture by ensuring all necessary steps are taken exactly when they need to be. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** It's a lot of work to set up. BetterCloud provided great support to get things going, but it still depends a lot on the customer directing that support, which I found to be a challenge because I had never used the product before and didn't have a good sense of everything. Further, the sales process has described some things to me that didn't quite match up with the reality of the implementation process. So that is definitely an area for improvement, closing the gap between expectations set by sales and the teams doing the actual implementation work. **Recommendations to others considering BetterCloud:** If you're willing to invest the time and work into implementing BetterCloud, it will be worth it. But you do need to spend that time upfront and roll things out thoughtfully to maximize your investment. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** New hires and terminations are the biggest areas of improvement. We've also been able to do a bit of work identifying files shared outside the company that should not be and remediating those issues. While the tool is incredibly helpful in this way, it is time-consuming to manage, which is a downside. ### 13. Honestly, I could not find anything good about it. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** I was excited about this product, and I was blown away by all these positive reviews on G2. When we tried (purchased) the product, I had set up several workflows that never seemed to work. I ran into constant bugs that were resolved only when I completely recreated the workflow from scratch, and I constantly had to contact support to get even basic workflows to function. If I compared this product to a solution such as Okta or Workato, BetterCloud gets an F for me. We had to drop the product altogether, and we moved to Okta workflows for a perfect onboarding and offboarding experience, which I designed myself. BetterCloud also has minimal functionality with HR mastering and getting the data I needed from our HR solution. I was able to accomplish what BetterCloud couldn't with Okta workflows. **Recommendations to others considering BetterCloud:** Trial this product THOROUGHLY before you purchase it. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** I attempted to solve onboarding and offboarding with BetterCloud, but we never got where we needed to be. ### 15. The admin interface is clean and allows for the team to check on users and take actions quickly. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** This isn't really a comment on BetterClod itself, but I think it's important to point out that BetterCloud isn't something you can buy, spend an afternoon setting it up and then never think about it again. The automation will save you time, it is still a tool that will require a commitment from your team in regards to setup, working around gaps and keeping it updated. BetterCloud doesn't support everything, and it does make some assumptions for your IT setup that may not be true, so there will always be some apps that you either need to find the time to develop support for yourself or live with the fact that there will be some manual steps in your workflow. **Recommendations to others considering BetterCloud:** Think and plan out workflows and what apps they involve ahead of time. That will help you both evaluate BetterCloud and hit the ground running if you move forward. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** The primary benefit has been automating on and off-boarding of employees in a secure and auditable way. Specifically, having automated workflows to provision a user based on their department or job function, and then providing a way to turn all of that off to ensure a secure exit, was the most important feature for us. Additional problems, such as identifying shared files or files that contain potentially sensitive information is a nice benefit. ### 22. Everything else is a caveat and then ultimately a dislike. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** Very limited. Waterfall workflows only, no decision trees, no data parsing/transforming, no ability to bring in data during the workflow, no visibility into why a failure occurred. Setting budgets allows for departmental / team cost tracking and chargeback analytics. The Contracts view is insightful and ensures that renewals/exit dates are not missed. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** With all of this SaaS data aggregated, the automation potential is limitless. We ultimately switched to another vendor due to the capabilities for automating user provisioning & de-provisioning across connected SaaS products. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was solving SaaS visibility to a certain degree but lacked the option to discover tools that are not authenticated with SSO. When I took over IAM / SaaS config and vendor management at my company, I did not have any previous knowledge of BetterCloud. I was able to dive in, and without initially checking any documentation, I was able to find the information I sought and push the updates I needed. Most recently I was able to add an integration following a quick guide and dig into workflows without any training on the workflow process itself. For more complex configurations there is a community and articles available! **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** I would say that sometimes there is a bit of a lag when making updates/changes, and I find myself refreshing the screen at odd times when working with workflows. In addition, I believe BetterCloud could expand on what can be exported / retrieved from the system. We are a heavily audited industry and printing out workflows (the workflow itself or the result of a workflow that ran) is not streamlined. There is room for improvement in this area. Lastly, I'd like to see workflow triggers and if checks to include things like "if user.manager IS EMPTY". If such checks already exist I have not been able to find them / get them working. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** BetterCloud's visibility into Google Workspace and managing of Groups is a must. I once read someone's post that said, "How in the world have you been managing your Google Workspace without BetterCloud?!" And that statement sums it up! Archiving and paused deletion of accounts is automated. These were function that had to be manually performed previously and occasionally there was lag time that could have caused some security issues. Automating a standardized email signature across the organization by groups as set by our district policy. The ability to find, take ownership of, and change ownership of Google documents stored in users drives. This is extremely useful when an employee leaves and the new employee needs access to the previous documents. THis is also done without breaking any document sharing already in place. ### 34. This has improved our peace of mind as we continue to scale since these processes are too important to let anything slip through the cracks. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** I wish some of the integrations were a bit more intuitive. While they can often do the job we're looking for (like creating users, changing permissions), it sometimes take multiple steps to do the task and can get tricky if there's an order of operations that needs to be followed.
