Just with what we currently have set up we're saving a full work week of time per month. That's 3 MONTHS of full time work yearly we've been able to automate and we're just getting started. Plus the tools that they offer around Application Discovery, DLP, and more have helped up trim some "SaaS fat" off and set up alerts on when sensitive info is shared outside the company. All of their teams are awesome, their support is top notch, and their responsiveness to customer feedback is great. They are constantly rolling out new features and upgrades. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** There are some basics features that are missing at this point, like grouping of Workflows that could really benefit a lot of customers. Our homeschool department gained more than 600 students last year, and being able to provide a spreadsheet to the registrar, have her quickly populate it with student information, and then import it with a click made our lives a dream and saved us a nightmare. We use it to create large numbers of locked-down exam account every year as well. Using that functionality alone has saved us enough man-hours to justify the license cost. We still hope to dig into more of the features of BetterCloud some day when we have time. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** I still regularly have issues where BetterCloud does not create all users successfully from a large batch, where they are put in the wrong group or OUl. I can manually resolve these issues, and I still save time overall, but it would be nice if this issue wouldn't happen. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** BetterCloud helps us streamline user account creation, saving us days or even weeks of man-hours. ### 34. It does take some time to get up to speed with the platform on first use. All actions or alerts are predefined, so there is no additional configuration or mapping that you need to do to get an integration working. Everything pretty much works "out of the box". You also have the ability to create custom integrations if they don't have a pre-built one, so that is a nice option. However, creating custom integrations is much more complicated than doing anything else with the platform, and has a steep learning curve. This functionality could definitely be improved, but I am still glad it is an option, and it can only get better from here. BetterCloud support is also really good, with multiple different ways to get help, including live chat, where I always get a response within minutes of initiating. You are also alwasy connected directly to a real person, and never have to go through any sort of AI assisted support prompt. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** There are two different versions of BetterCloud that exist currently. G.bettercloud is their old platform that they typically don't recommend using anymore, while App.BetterCloud is the new platform that is actively being updated. We actively use both versions at our company. G.bettercloud is old, and it feels old. The UI is dated and the functionality can be slow and very glitchy. However, it is much more intuitive to navigate and to take actions against user accounts than in app. It aligns much more closely to a typical web service in terms of administration. App.bettercloud is much newer and much more responsive. However taking actions against individual user accounts is more cumbersome, with more steps that feel unnecessary. App.bc is where all the workflow functionality lives. You cannot do anything with workflows in g.bc. So what ends up happening at our company is if we want to do anything with workflows, we will use app.bc, but if we need to interact with individual accounts or groups, we will use g.bc. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** The primary benefit and use case for BetterCloud at our company is the workflow functionality. We have been able to greatly improve our provisioning and deprovisioning processes by automating specific steps using BC workflows. We used to have to manually deprovision our users across many different systems. BC has allowed us to automate this for any systems it integrates with that we actively use. ### 44. The ability to monitor file access, changes, and permissions has been invaluable in ensuring data security and compliance. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** The main concern I'd like to address is the lack of support for Google Shared Drive within the Google Drive Audit Tools. As an organization that heavily relies on Google Shared Drives for collaborative projects and team file management, this limitation has proven to be a significant drawback. Additionally, compound conditionals, which combine multiple conditions using logical operators (e.g., AND, OR), are essential for creating more sophisticated automation scenarios. They allow users to create workflows that take into account multiple factors before executing specific actions. Unfortunately, the current inability to utilize compound conditionals limits the full potential of the Workflows feature and may necessitate implementing cumbersome workarounds or multiple workflows. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Recently, we experienced issues with the Google Drive transfer functionality within Bettercloud. Their responsiveness was truly remarkable. Within minutes of reporting the issue through their support portal, I received a confirmation and acknowledgment of the problem. The solution provided to rectify the problem was executed flawlessly. The code changes were applied swiftly, and the application was back to its optimal performance in no time. ### 45. Onboarding is smoother, offboarding is smoother, even some items (like granting access to Office 365 and resetting passwords) are no longer touched internally, saving us a ton of time. There is also the g.bettercloud.com console, which is phenomenal. The interface provides you with a lot of the same actions as the workflows, but I can make edits more on-demand and bulk edit/actions a lot quicker. There are even some actions (e.g. delegating inboxes) which we are not capable of doing in the google admin console, but BetterCloud can do for us. **What do you dislike about BetterCloud?** I am a strong believer in dark mode, and will always decry its lack of availability. I haven't been able to visit the flight school yet, but I wish there were trainings around some integrations available (e.g. the who/what/when/where/how you need to create a zendesk ticket --> have bettercloud see this ticket --> perform actions in jamf pro, or another integration).' It's not a dislike but a "wish I could." I love the g.bettercloud.com console (As mentioned in my likes section). I'd love to see a similar dashboard made for other integrations. **What problems is BetterCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** onboarding/offboarding - automating a lot of the work that used to be done manually, or used to be impossible in general (delegating inboxes in google workspace is a nightmare) DLP -
