Steam suggests regional prices with three conversion methods, but none is a reliable default: - Exchange-rate conversion ignores purchasing power entirely. - The purchasing-power method can't be reproduced from public data. - The multi-variable method publishes neither its sources nor its weights. Mispriced regions either leave money on the table or price players out of markets where the game could sell. Steam Regional Pricing is a free tool from Hushcrasher that recommends regional prices for a Steam game based on local purchasing power; with a transparent, documented method. Enter a USD base price and get a recommended price for every Steam currency. Purchasing power: prices are converted with the IMF's purchasing power parity (PPP) rates, updated every six months. Sales tax: US and Canadian prices are displayed before tax, so the base price includes a population-weighted average US sales tax, making it comparable with tax-inclusive markets. Shared-currency regions (EU, LATAM, CIS, MENA, South Asia): PPP is weighted by Steam traffic. Psychological price points (.49, .95, .99) and Steam's minimum prices are handled automatically. Export a CSV and import it into Steamworks to update every regional price at once. Steam's own suggestions and a Netflix-based benchmark are shown for comparison.
