BetaLobby is a free mutual closed testing platform for indie Android developers. New personal Google Play developer accounts must run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for 14 days in a row before they can apply for production access. For a solo developer, finding 12 people who will install the app and keep it for two weeks is often the hardest part of launching. BetaLobby solves this by letting developers test each other's apps in organized teams. Fair by design In Team mode, 16 developers install each other's apps at the same time, so everyone puts in the same effort and gets the same result: 15 testers per app, three more than Google Play's minimum of 12. A TRUST score keeps it fair over time. Installs and completed 14-day tests earn TRUST, missed install windows and missed check-ins cost it, and accounts with low TRUST can't join teams. Completely free There is no paid plan, no premium tier, and no way to buy testers or skip the line. Every tester on BetaLobby is a real indie developer going through the same closed test. Submit your app first You don't need to test other people's apps or earn points before you can list your own. Submit your app, join a team, and everyone installs together once the team is full. Automated from start to finish - One shared Google Group: add betalobby@googlegroups.com to your closed testing track once. Your existing Google Groups can stay. - Setup checks: each submitted app is checked before it is listed, including whether the closed test is available in every country, to catch setup problems before teammates try to install it. - On-device verification: the Android app confirms installs and daily check-ins directly on the phone. No screenshots to send or collect. - Reminders: push notifications when your team is full, before the 24-hour install window closes, and for daily check-ins. Free tools and guides BetaLobby also offers a free production access questionnaire tool that shows all 9 questions Play Console asks, with the same character limits, plus guides on common closed testing problems such as "Item not found" and the "More testing required" rejection. BetaLobby is available on Google Play in 11 languages.
