## About Benchling
We are rebuilding biotech for the AI era. When a breakthrough is delayed, the world waits. Getting a molecule from discovery to patients, or a crop from lab to field, involves thousands of slow, manual, disconnected steps. AI has the potential to change this, compressing decades of R&D work into years. But that only happens when clean, structured scientific data and AI are built into how science gets done. Benchling is the AI platform for biotech R&D. Scientists use Benchling to design experiments, capture structured data, and run AI agents and models directly in their workflows. Over 200,000 scientists around the world trust Benchling to power their most important work, from academic labs to Sanofi, Moderna, and more than half of the world's top 50 biopharma.

 ### 15. Great features for molecular biology applications (especially for free!)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2017

**Describe the project or task Benchling helped with:**

For a while I was looking for an option for managing DNA sequences. I came across Benchling at a conference and decided to give it a try. The features are great, it has a ton of functionality and I really like the user interface. Especially for free (for my purposes), it is an excellent product!

**What do you like best about Benchling?**

I don't use the electronic lab notebook features, only the features for managing and editing DNA sequences. These work extremely well.

**What do you dislike about Benchling?**

Sometimes it's difficult to figure out how to do certain things. It's nice that you can contact them, but if I am in the middle of something and have a question, I've usually moved on by the time I hear back. Maybe some additional kind of manual or tutorials would be helpful (although they do have some good ones already).
