I think there are still lots of improvements that could be made to Beautiful.ai. The ability to import existing presentations and have them converted into Beautiful.ai's format is still very immature. This feature needs to become more robust to ensure that the converted presentations look reasonably similar to their originals. Additionally, although I appreciate the beautiful design of the slides, there needs to be an option to include more content on a single slide, even if it compromises some of the visual appeal. Clients often require me to include several items on one or two slides, and Beautiful.ai currently struggles with this. As a result, I find myself having to use other tools like PowerPoint to meet these requirements. there is alot of rigidity to it at times, wish a little more flexible with more features and slide types. additionally, because i work for an institution i can't integrate it with powerpoint and so it sucks having to use the web app and then download as a ppt either editable which doesn't retain all of the nice features or the jpeg just makes it annoying to make small edits. I trialed Beautiful.ai when preparing a presentation for my job interview. It was a free trial and like all free trials they expire (standard practice). As everyone has likely experienced before, I forgot to cancel the trial before the deadline. These guys then proceeded to not charge me for 1 month but for an entire year ($150)! I reached out to them directly and they declined to refund me. To charge a trial customer automatically for an entire year versus put them on a month by month is absolutely a predatory practice and I'll be sure to warn anyone I know in my network about using this product.
