Ideagen Beakon is a contractor management and environmental health and safety (EHS) solution that verifies contractors are qualified, trained, inducted and insured before they attend a work site. Ideagen Beakon is supporting clients across mining, food and beverage, petrochemical, logistics and equipment handling industries, including Coca-Cola Amatil, CHEP Brambles, South32 and Ampol. The solution centralizes contractor onboarding, compliance tracking and site attendance in a single interface, replacing spreadsheet-based or paper-based contractor files with one system that alerts businesses before documents expire. Ideagen Beakon is built as a modular, cloud-based framework, and contractor management operates alongside other Ideagen Beakon modules covering permit to work, incident management, risk management, audit and inspection, task register and visitor management. Core contractor management capabilities include: Contractor registration and prequalification, with customizable prequalification questionnaires that can be issued and completed online Document and compliance tracking for insurance renewals, licenses, safe work method statements (SWMS) and job safety analyses (JSAs), with automated alerts ahead of expiry dates Online induction and e-learning for contractor training and onboarding, delivered through Beakon's e-learning module Site attendance tracking, including time in and time out logging linked to a who's-onsite report for evacuation roll calls Multiple check-in methods, including ID cards, barcode or QR code scanning, kiosk check-in and smartphone geo-location A mobile app, available on iOS and Android, that continues to function offline for contractors and inspectors working without reliable site connectivity Ideagen Beakon is a Microsoft Silver Partner and Google Partner. Ideagen Beakon suits mid-sized to large organizations in high-risk or regulated industries that manage an ongoing contractor workforce across one or more sites and need a single record of contractor qualifications, insurance and training status. It is not built as a standalone applicant tracking or recruitment system, and organizations looking only for general workforce scheduling without a safety or compliance component may find it more capability than they need.
