Perhaps its just inherent in this type of tool, but some a lot of stuff is very technical and may be hard for the beginner. They have good help documents, but some of that may also be very technical. Beagle security offers comprehensive tests and analysis of your website and gives a detailed report of all the found vulnerabilities that your site has. Getting set up is pretty easy. Add your website, verify domain ownership then begin the test. Beagle security will start to test your website and server thoroughly for all sorts of vulnerabilities in the next 2-3 days. So yes, it's a very detailed analysis and vulnerability test and it does put some strain on your hosting's CPU. When the analysis is complete, you'll get a detailed report with all the vulnerabilities found, which are categorized from Critical to Low. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Beagle Security? The report offers recommendations on what to do to fix the vulnerabilities, but they do not offer enough information on how to do the recommended things. Once you start fixing the issues, you don't know if they are actually fixed unless you make another full test. This is troublesome since a full test takes 3 days. A line-by-line item re-test on each vulnerability should be implemented for better help when trying to put the recommendations in practice. This isn't non-techie friendly. If you don't know a lot about servers and computers, you'll probably have a hard time fixing the issues yourself. You'll need to do a lot of searching for the solutions since the recommendations don't tell you how to put them into practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Beagle Security: This might cause problems if you're using shared hosting since it's a drain on your CPU. Your hosting might not like you using so much CPU and server resources. I suggest having a VPS or server for any serious website anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Beagle Security solving and how is that benefiting you? Seeing all the vulnerabilities at a glance, then being able to dive in deeper to see the details of the issue. Many loopholes are sometimes easy to fix, like changing the CHMOD of a folder. These issues are usually either forgotten when setting up a website but could be a critical vulnerability.
