Beacon has been a game changer for our team’s RFPs and ITBs. It helps take an idea and turn it into a clear, well-structured document, while also offering helpful suggestions on areas that could use additional clarification. All features are simple to use. Since we started using Beacon, we’ve noticed that prospective bidders have far fewer questions. Alexis was instrumental in getting us started and continues to follow up, which speaks to the excellent customer service Beacon provides. Our team handles all our RFPs and ITBs in house. We noticed that at our mandatory pre-bid meetings, prospective bidders had a lot of questions. Our goal was to streamline the process and put more information in the bid to provide more clarification to our potential bidders. Beacon Bid has proved itself in the short time we've been using it (around 3 months). It has been very easy to use and the AI platform has been very useful in generating information we can then work from. When we have a new bid, something new we've never published before, and even older bids we are republishing, the AI generator has been the most helpful along with the library of other solicitations to review. I like the ability to search government procurement for industry standards on scope and requirements. This feature is particularly valuable because most of our contracts haven't been up for rebid in over 10 years, and being able to see what other government procurement offers is a great way to bring new procurement up to industry standards. The site has limitations on what you can filter on, like date ranges, and it would be helpful to have options to filter just state government or just federal. It provides me with lots of samples of RFPs and has a repository to search from, which is really helpful. Even though I haven't used the EBID feature yet, I like a lot of the features it offers. I appreciate that it can help our city clerk save time in collecting bids and that we can keep a digital history of all transactions related to a bid or proposal.
