It’s easy to use and even more intuitive than using Excel or google sheets. Before using Basis, we were updating our Google Sheet manually every other day to understand the basic financials of my company. The product is early so there were some bugs in connecting different data points and integrations. But since the first time we got onboarded (last August), there has been a ton of updates and Basis team has been very helpful in the onboarding process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The implementation process was an absolute breeze -- all we had to do was connect our GL, and the Basis team took care of the rest. We were blown away by how quickly we could generate basic financial statement forecasts, which gave us invaluable insights into our operations in just one day! Everything is great so far. I haven't encountered any real problems. While there is a learning curve like any other tool, I was able to pick it up quickly during the implementation process. The system is highly customizable but it’s also easy to learn and use. It’s very easy to drill down into models, formulas, values to see where all of the underlying data is coming from. This makes everything easier to understand and lets you work faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of the quarterly and annual breakdowns acted a little quirky but they added a way to let you toggle whether you want a metric to report the latest value or to sum the values across the period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the ability to build complex models and include collaborators from the team. The user permissions are so granular that I can give everyone the exact access they need to collaborate on their specific piece. What's great about this tool is that it comes with financial statement forecasts built-in, which you can then customize further using pre-made templates. I'm happy to report that I haven't come across any issues with this system. Although there is a bit of a learning curve, I found it easy to pick up during the implementation process. The direct integration between basis and our CRM, Accounting software, and Payroll software, has drastically reduced manual data entry while increasing overall accuracy. The Gusto API does not allow an accountant user to integrate the softwares, and the connection often 'breaks'. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you've used excel (I can assume most have) Basis is super intuitive and saves so much time. Much easier to collaborate with team members and make quick changes to assumptions and immediately being able to gauge it's impact on the rest of your financial statements compared to excel!
