Love how BaseCase makes complex models usable in real conversations. It turns static analyses into interactive tools, aligns teams, and makes updates and sharing fast so value stories land. We even connected it via API to our datalake to prefill hospital data, and moved from Showpad for its stronger Excel needs and SQL driven database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Basecase? One challenge with BaseCase is that there can be a bit of a learning curve at the start especially when you’re working with more advanced logic or SQL-driven data setups. It also requires good upfront structure and planning. If your model or data isn’t well organized, it can take time to set things up properly before you really see the benefits. BaseCase mainly solves a practical problem for us: our models used to sit in spreadsheets and weren’t very usable in real conversations. With BaseCase, we solved a practical gap we had with Showpad. Showpad looked great, but we needed something with a stronger Excel-like engine behind it. BaseCase gives us that depth while still letting us build a very similar UI/UX, so we didn’t have to compromise on the front end. We use a budget impact model that we update regularly, with different elements depending on the regional market. BaseCase has made it much easier to implement those updates quickly in the presentation tool and to create regional variations that can also be rolled out fast. We initially worked with the BaseCase consulting team to develop our first presentation tool, and the experience was very positive. The team was efficient and responsive, especially when our needs changed during the development process. We decided we needed to integrate an AI objection handler into the tool and the consulting team were able to quickly come up with a solution. After the rollout of the initial tool, I received training from the CS team that enabled me to quickly build adaptations for regional markets. I also learned how to replace the Excel model in the app whenever we update it. Overall, this was relatively straightforward because the platform doesn’t require developers to have any coding skills. Most importantly, BaseCase have given us very strong ROI. Our sales teams report that they have achieved a higher rate of successful client discussions when using BaseCase compared to our previous approach of using Excel and static presentation slides. We needed an agile value-communication solution that would let us quickly push updates from our BIM into the presentation tool without high development costs or long waiting times, and that we could easily adapt for new markets. BaseCase ticks all of those boxes, and the tools we’ve built look stunning. Because of these elements, we can see that BaseCase is increasing our sales team’s success rate. I’ve had a great experience using BaseCase by Certara and wanted to share how it’s changed the way I build and deliver presentations. One feature I’ve particularly enjoyed is the recent AI integration. I’ve connected BaseCase with ChatGPT to build a smart inventory for references and documents, which is one of the countless ways to make a good and productive use of AI. From a design and usability perspective, the platform is very flexible. If you have an eye for design, you can create truly beautiful and polished presentations. But even without that, it’s incredibly user-friendly and makes it easy to put together clean, professional visuals. It also integrates seamlessly with SSO, which made it very easy to introduce the tool to my internal team and colleagues. In terms of performance, the apps I’ve created can handle very complex calculations instantly and scale effortlessly to support large numbers of users. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with the BaseCase consulting team, and that was a standout experience. They helped create a thoughtfully designed, visually appealing UI that fits my needs perfectly, and it’s simple enough that I can easily update it myself as new data comes in. Finally, the pricing is very compelling for the value it delivers, especially considering the sales impact I’ve achieved using tools built in BaseCase. Overall, BaseCase has significantly improved both the quality of my presentations and my workflow. Its user-friendliness and ease of use make it a powerful tool for anyone looking to move beyond static slides and create something more interactive and impactful. I like how Basecase ensures that everyone has the same information that is up to date, which is crucial for aligning market access strategies. It minimizes data leakage risks since the field team can fully use and change models without accessing the raw Excel data. I appreciate that when teams adopt Basecase, they get better at their job; in fact, teams using the platform saw a more than 45% increase in sales compared to those who chose not to use it. I also like that the designers build out our tools using our branding guidelines, which get approved with minimal input from my team, using just a few feedback comments. They employ UI/UX experts and Health Econ project managers, which adds to the quality. What do you dislike about Basecase? Building in-house is a bit too hard for me, as I rather pay for build-out but there is a learning curve.
