It's also a flat price for an unlimited number of users, which makes budgeting easy. **What do you dislike about Basecamp?** Using Basecamp most effectively (it seems to me) requires that you already have a process/procedure in mind for how things should be done and why, along with employees who are on board with using it and can reason their way to deciding where to put things, who to notify, etc. In this sense, Basecamp is almost too simple; it doesn't offer the little automations that would constrain and lubricate use by employees who just want to check off tasks and move on without having to do anything further.
