But the value added in here is that the application security capabilities such as SSL offloadind, granular response controls, server cloaking and all other features help to protect sensitive data and meet compliance requirements like HIPPA. It machine-learning-baes threat detection can behave inconsistently, sometimes generating false positives that require manual review. It is helping me to solve OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, zero-day threats and data leakage, as well DDoS attack, while using a Smart Signature that helps to reduce false positive alerts. Barracuda waf is available as an appliance or as a vm. Those who want it running with a few clicks, avoiding long waiting period to ship the product; vm is the way to go. Reports are somewhat confusing. The support could be better. If any issue occurs, they keep suggesting us the same solution. Recommendations to others considering Barracuda Web Application Firewall: Please purchase the support package. Start slowly. Implement less firewall rules at the beginning. We were able to replace cisco 5505 asa and had a very wide viewing angle on the attack surface. It doesn't just checks the ports.
