A security gateway which helps to protect against email threats and virus filtering. It is easy to use and implement in any workspace which enables data loss prevention. Also for doing bulk actions multiple select doesn't allowing which is one of the big disadvantage. Little complicate to integrate the software while setting up. I come up with this tool first time which has brilliant AI built technology. It understands the algoristhm and help to protect the user from fraud / phishing emails. In every organisation there is some fraud come-up with this and this is brilliant technology which fight against it and protect the users from the fruads so that they dont get into the trap. I have never seen such type of product earlier. So this was the first time experience for me. When I got to know that there is some technology or tool which helps us from phishing email, I got too excited!! The support it provides, it is tremendous to see. We faced with lot of phishing / fraud emails in our organisation which yields into big transaction of money. It leads to trap the employees, where they transfer the money by thinking that it was asked by their manager, seniors, directors, ceos, etc. Sometimes, same emails comes as a project where employee thinks that it would be great if they act on it. But it is like a trap for them. Its AI technology is madeup like that, which understand its domain, IP, etc and understand that it is not the true email. This helps the employees or organisation to get into the trap and solve the biggest problem related to high transactions of money, involvement of fake works / projects and time management. While it is easy to report a false positive, it can be more difficult to prevent false positives from being captured in the first place, and we have had examples of follow-up emails being captured for the same reason that the initial false positive was captured in the first place. The system was easy to set up and implement - taking less than an hour to ensure everything was configured correctly. Since that point, I get a regularly scheduled status report, along with email notifications on when the system is capturing impersonation attmepts. My team likes it because they can quickly report if they feel that a message is a false positive - in which we are able to go into the software and verify the message before resending it to the user. It has been a great addition and has captured on average about 10-20 messages per week from malicious sources pretending to be our CEO, accounting, or HR teams. I'm struggling to find dislikes about it - the simplicity of the system, along with how easy it was to implement makes the software that much more robust, as there isn't a ton of rules or features you need to toggle on and off. It has nearly been a "set it and forget it" system that we rarely have to make any modifications to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Barracuda Impersonation Protection solving and how is that benefiting you? We have dealt with a handful of situations prior to implementation where senders would often impersonate people on our team to try and get other team members to perform actions that are malicious in nature. While we have DMARC deployed on our systems, things still slip by and to the casual user, it may not be very apparent that the sender is not who they say they are. With Impersonation Protection, those instances are greatly reduced. Coupled with quarterly security training and simulated phishing tests, we feel we are in a great position having all of these items help educated and protect our team. When we moved from using our former email security we were up over 2000 rules in O365 to stop phishing and malware. Where the rules were extensive we were spending hours a day managing the email was was captured to determin if it was a valid email or not. With every week something new came out and we had to find a way to block it. With Barracuda the hours we spend each day evaporated and we can now manage our email environment in about 30 total minutes per day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Barracuda Impersonation Protection? Only real cause for concern is if your business is travel based as the account takeover alerts will be slightly overwhelming. We had to add some geo location tools where we would not get alerted unless the user logged into the account from multiple areas of the country on the same day. This tool constantly scans all emails in the inbox and when it finds one pretending to be an employee coming from someone else it yanks the message right out out of the inbox.
