It reads 1D and 2D barcodes in real time from the camera, including codes that standard decoders miss because they are damaged, blurry, deformed, very small or marked directly on metal and plastic parts. The scanning engine has dedicated techniques for hard codes. MatrixSight® recovers damaged and partially missing QR and Data Matrix codes. Segment Decoding® reads 1D barcodes that are crumpled, torn or printed on curved surfaces. PDF417-LineSight® reads worn PDF417 codes on driver's licences and ID cards. DPM mode reads direct part marks on industrial parts, and DeBlur handles EAN and UPC codes blurred by motion or focus. Supported symbologies include Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Code 11, Codabar, EAN and UPC, GS1 DataBar, GS1 Composite, Interleaved and Industrial 2 of 5, MSI Plessey, Telepen, postal codes, QR, Micro QR, Data Matrix, PDF417, Micro PDF417, Aztec, MaxiCode and DotCode. Beyond decoding, barKoder includes: - Batch MultiScan, which reads many barcodes in one camera view, with an augmented-reality overlay that highlights each code and lets users pick the one they need - MRZ scanning for passports, ID cards and visas - VIN scanning for vehicles - Built-in parsers for US and Canadian driver's licences (AAMVA), South African driver's licences, MRZ, GS1 data and airline boarding passes (BCBP) The SDK is available for Android, iOS, Web (WebAssembly), Windows (C# and C++) and Linux (C++ and Python). There are plugins for Flutter, React Native, Capacitor, Cordova, .NET MAUI and NativeScript. One license covers an app across its platforms. Open-source demo apps for each framework give teams a working starting point, and the scan view can be customised: scan area, colours, AR overlays and buttons. barKoder scans on the device. Scanned data stays in your app, the SDK performs a periodic license check, and offline licenses are available for environments without connectivity.
