First off it's too expensive, business leads in particular are massively overpriced with absolutely no promise of hiring and secondly it's absolutely riddled with fake/wrongly submitted leads, Iv recently been charged £169 to open an add that turned out to be a migrant worker with grasp of English, no experience in the field he's advertising in and NOT in anyway related to the advert posted which was for a commercial cleaning contract 😡😡 bark has so much potential but it's just let down by the companies refusal to check add legitimacy while they're more than happy to charge extortionate amours for a phone number 🤦‍♂️ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. All of our pricing is set based on the monetary value of the job as well as the heat of the lead. I use bark as well as other similar companies and the leads from bark are seemingly more legitimate. I find it easier to pinpoint fakes leads. Fake leads being ones that service providers post in order to see how it works or do competitor research at the expense of those of us who pay to reach out to them. After following their tips, being a good fit for the people I reach out to and following up, I feel as though I should have more interactions with potential clients at the very least for the cost. It's great to hear that you have been being picky with your choice of leads - it's important to only respond to the most detailed leads as quickly as possible. Due to us being an open public platform there is a certain amount of personal filtering that can help you receive the most convertible leads. By going to Settings, My Services and Filter Questions you can remove leads that include "I don't know" or low budgets or small jobs - essentially anything that makes the lead more vague or not customised for you. This should then mean you receive leads where the buyer has been specific about their needs which suggests they are fully aware of the service they desire. We advise that our professionals do not respond to vague requests, as these are often the least convertible. Our average conversion rate is 1 in 5 and so we hope that we can help you achieve this. The number of leads that come through are good. It's reassuring to know that there are people out there looking for my service (hypnotherapy). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Bark.com? The majority of the leads I purchase do not respond to me despite being super professional and doing everything right. This lack of response has made me lose faith in Bark thinking it was just a money grabbing platform. It wouldn't be so bad if you could get a credit on the leads that ignore you, but you can't (unless their phone number hasn't been verified). Also, I have two accounts on bark, one of them is redundant, and I wanted to switch the credits over to the account that I was using; however they said this was not possible. This was highly frustrating as it is just me here providing the same serivce (I just mistakenly opened a second account, bought some credits but didn't finish it off properley). I really stated my case for having the credits transferred but I got stonewalled every time and none of the customer service team answered my questions directly, they seemed to be just robots. I even wrote to the CEO of Bark but got ignored again (very bad!). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Bark.com: It takes time to hit the sweet spot, unless you have a dedicated sales team that can hit thoes enquiries as soon as they come in (I am thinking of getting a VA to do this but then the cost per lead goes up dramatically). But if you're a one girl band like me, please use cautiously and make sure that you have a good chunk of time to speak to your leads the minute the enquiry comes through, and then of course, do your follow ups. Also, really think about the type of clients you want to help, use the lead filters otherwise you'll be pinged all day long and it gets distracting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I'm a transformational hypnotherapist and I've realized that the majority of leads that I was contacting weren't ready to embark on a journey of transformation (dead loss from the start). They just wanted to pay someone (a cheap price, and I am not cheap) to wave a magic wand to solve all their problems for them, especially when it came to things like weight loss and smoking cessation. Therefore I've placed a lot of filters on my leads and now I only get the leads who are more qualified for my programs. It took a while to understand this though. I then ONLY make contact with a lead if I've got a spare 30 mins to talk with them as soon as they make the enquiry. The majority of the time leads want to go away and think about it, so I put all the information in an email and then follow up two days later with a text. I have to say, working with the leads from Bark is very labor-intensive compared to the leads I get through my own podcast (The Menopause Mindset) and social media activity. As a result, I think the leads should be a bit cheaper as they are definitely not hot leads. I would say that they are lukewarm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. As such, we find that responding to leads quickly gives professionals a higher conversion rate. We do not have your account details here so we cannot comment on your issues with your account, but it may be that if you have credits in different currencies a transfer is not possible between account due to this reason. Once our free account was set up we found that to reach out to leads, you had to buy credits, which was fair. However, the cost was astronomical! It will cost you over $200 to get only 180 credits. This platform is a gamble where the house always wins. The leads are not actual leads; many leads were not legit. Meaning we would call, text, and email these potential leads and get no reply. If you are a smaller company, this will not be the best fit for your business. This platform requires constant time and resources. I can grantee your money will be best spent else where. The idea is great however there are issues as far as I am concerned relating to the quality of the services and the lack of verification of the professionals. Bark list the services of structural engineers, structural surveyors and building surveyors which in order to undertake a piece of work, even for domestic purposes they need to be competent, qualified, certified, have good knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and generally carry PI and PL insurances. Hiring highly skilled and professionals like structural engineers and building surveyors who are governed by their associated representative bodies and codes of practices via search engines like this unless is regulated can be dangerous and even fraudulent. This could have been easily resolved by Bark if they took the time to study the industries related to the above and filter only companies or individuals that meet the minimum requirements like: 1. Professionals with degrees; 2. Charted engineers and surveyors; 3. Professionals with minimum industry quality requirements like a UKAS certified integrated management system; 4. Professionals with HSE and CDM 2015 proven competence, like SSIP, Construction Line; and level 2 at least, RISQS or other accepted certification bodies; 5. Recently after a couple of years of receiving emails from a company called Bark (Bark.com) which acts as a professional’s service search engine, I decided to give our company a try with them and purchased some leads after I noticed that they offered structural engineer and surveyor options. Once you register they ask you to fill up a few details about your company and provide a company description. Also since Bark does not do such professional qualification searches it has come to my attention that non-qualified persons pretend to be structural engineers or building surveyors and through Bark there is no way for the uninformed client of verifying if the person responding through a lead is competent and qualified. Recently a client of mine told me that she had another structural engineer price the design for a removal of a chimney breast and was not even going to visit the property just give her a fixed set of calculations. When I visited the property I noticed that chimney breast was shared with the adjacent property as it was a semi-detached building. The person that quoted turned out did not even have a degree in civil, structural or mechanical engineering but she trusted that Bark would have done this validation. This has resulted in professional services through competition being ridiculously under-priced as any say student of civil engineering or with minimal experience can claim to be a structural surveyor, resulting in inferior and in most cases substandard quality of services which can have detrimental consequence’s for the clients. Also the HSE under CDM 2015 even for domestic clients and designs require an appropriate level of rigour that someone with inadequate training and experience will not possess. Bark without doing searches on competencies fail to safeguard their clients, which trust the site to provide them with competent and qualified professionals. By encouraging their clients to provide quotes online which is just means of them generating more revenue, goes against HSE guidelines in my view, which requires form professionals involved in construction and design to collect pre-construction information and evaluate risk form hazards, that one cannot identify remotely. By promoting clients to ask professionals to quote online without investigating a property and any particular hazards present, like the potential of asbestos, hidden critical elements, or even say form a load bearing wall roof loads or the direction of the span of floor joists. I have written to Bark but they ignored my email regarding these concerns. Bark in my view by failing to address the above are contributing to potential failings, which could result to a collapse of structural work or failing to address subsidence issues properly.
