## Bandwidth Reviews
  ### 1. Great Account Manager and RCS Team Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse D. | Product Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

The service works, our account manager is great, we still believe it is the best option for messaging and our use cases.

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

The new support experience is really not great. I really dislike the new chatbot way of logging a ticket, the new way to view tickets and manage them is also tricky. A few times I've been told to give feedback to the web team using the feedback toolset instead of logging a ticket when I couldn't login due to trouble with the login page. It seems like the nature of support is becoming more corporate help yourself than hands on support.

It also seems like with the OAuth rollout, there is a forced transition planned, but APIs (Messaging V2) don't currently support OAuth - limiting the time we can use to move ahead. It seems like things should be ready before they are pushed to clients as a required transition.

The experience is quite different when working with other folks directly. Our account manager is great and so is the team helping with RCS.

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily use Bandwidth for messaging, this allows our government agencies (customers) to reach their citizens timely and effectively.

**Official Response from Matt Ruehlen:**

> Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to hear that the service is performing well for you and, more importantly, that your Account Manager and our RCS team are delivering the high level of support you expect.

I also want to address your concerns regarding the new support experience. We are intentionally investing in more self-service tooling for our customers, but this should be additive and in no way a trade-off to the human touch that has been our hallmark.

I invite you to share feedback directly with me if you’re ever unable to log in, or if you’d just prefer to share it directly - mruehlen@bandwidth.com. I do personally look at every single bit of feedback that arrives via our App. My mission as our Voice of the Customer is to be sure you’re heard.

Expect to hear more from us about improvements to the support experience. We're taking in our customer feedback here and have already acted on much of it.

Thank you for trusting us with your business,
Matt Ruehlen Sr. Director, Voice of the Customer

  ### 2. Exceptional Voice Quality & Support, Streamlined Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bob Z. | Account Management Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

I like that Bandwidth has great technicians and a developing portal that makes it easy to track calls and telephone numbers. It saves me a significant amount of time that I would otherwise spend researching different issues related to our voice customers. The portal consolidates all of the data, making it easy to access. The voice quality, technical support, and pricing are much better with Bandwidth than what we experienced with Vitelity. The initial setup of Bandwidth was very easy for us, as we just created our existing accounts in the Bandwidth portal and worked with them to transition our numbers into their system.

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

The new ticketing system we've struggled with; they need to be able to add or modify that as issues come up. One thing would be being able to add or CC additional people into the ticket once it's been opened. Another would be to display the text in a more readable format once the system emails the ticket creator(s).

**Recommendations to others considering Bandwidth:**

Check out the portal - it provides easy, direct access to the tools you need.

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our customers' phone numbers, trunk configurations and IP addresses. It also allows me to track call through the Insights utility making locating and review calls much easier. This is a huge timesaver by cutting down on research time and consolidating data in one easy to use location.

**Official Response from Matt Ruehlen:**

> Hey Bob,

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review. It’s fantastic to hear that our portal and Insights tool are saving you time and that your migration experience was smooth. We take a lot of pride in our people and how we serve our customers, so I’m thrilled to see we have made a positive impact on your operations.

I also appreciate your candid feedback on the new ticketing experience. While we do allow adding CCs during ticket creation, we are exploring ways for you to easily add colleagues after a ticket is already open.

We’ve been collecting feedback from our customers and both items you mention are on our radar. You can expect to see more communication from us soon sharing our roadmap and the specific improvements we are delivering to the ticketing system.

Thank you for trusting us with your business,

Matt Ruehlen Sr. Director, Voice of the Customer

  ### 3. Easy-to-Use Dashboard, But Support Access and Ticketing Can Be Frustrating

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe M. | Senior IT ENgineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

Dashboard is easy to use
Don't have issues porting in most numbers local or Toll Free

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

Changes to support - no longer able to get telephone support for local ports without paying additoinal monthly fees for higher levels of support. Getting support via ticket is hit and miss.
Having to navigate AI chatbot just to open a ticket is frustrating

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Standarding all our SIP trunks
Providing e911 services
10DLC guidance

**Official Response from Matt Ruehlen:**

> Joe, thank you for the balanced feedback. We're glad the dashboard and number porting have been working well for you. Your comments about the support model changes, particularly around phone support access and navigating Synthi to open a ticket, are ones I'd like to also address. We are intentionally investing in more self-service tooling for our customers such as Synthi, but this should be additive and not feel like a frustrating roadblock when you simply need to get a ticket opened. Our teams can help if you have questions around getting a ticket opened quicker.

If you're open to it, I'd welcome you emailing me directly at mruehlen@bandwidth.com so we can dig into the specifics on the hit or miss support you reference.

Thank you for trusting us with your business,

Matt Ruehlen Sr. Director, Voice of the Customer

  ### 4. Great SIP provider/Network. Excellent response and network reliability. Continually improving partner tools and interface.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

Constant updates to platform technology and API usage. Great account managers who are quick to inform you of new products that would benefit your account and walk you through the process.

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

Some more distributor-friendly advances, such as GUI-driven CSR generation and perhaps a few ways to automate resale interactions like porting, would be end customer-facing for the reseller. These are wishlist items of mine that are lofty but would be a huge improvement in my mind.

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a valuable SIP service to partner networks. Growing partner relationships.

  ### 5. Top-Notch Support with Simple Porting and Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nic C. | Director of Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

I love how Bandwidth makes our porting process easy and number management a breeze. Their support is always top notch; I've worked with several other carriers, and their support is far above anyone else. The portal is easy to use and straightforward. The services we use like number management, lookup, and number ordering are all easy to use and straightforward. Updating and setup with Bandwidth is an easy part of VoIP Platform migrations, which I've done three of.

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

Texting registry can be a bit hard to understand and manage where numbers are registered/what they are doing

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bandwidth makes our porting process easy and number management a breeze.

  ### 6. Good but can improve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

The UI is very straightforward, design is simple and very helpful. The new way to ask for support is helpful, tickets are reviewed quickly. The information presented on any order/phone/campaign is ok.

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

There is no way to see several phones at the same time or update them all at once, especially to add them to the messaging campaign. Doing a bulk association to campaigns is not possible.

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Review phone numbers configurations, but can only be reviewed one by one.
Seeing the messaging campaigns status.

  ### 7. Not a company I enjoyed doing business with. Service is just ok, not great.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

Bandwidth services changed and have become more directed at wholesale accounts, which we are not.

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

The billing and disclosure of their billing practices needs improvement. They temporarily did this (ie: explain how their billing works on a web page), but then removed it.

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SMS for user authentication.
10 digit SMS
800 number SMS

**Official Response from Laney Alspaugh:**

> Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you did not have a good experience. Our customers consistently rate our customer support as unmatched in the business, so we can assure you this is not typical. We will investigate our records to determine what happened and take action to make sure it doesn't happen again. We also invite you to contact our support team to give us more details so we can further understand your issue and make it right.

  ### 8. Straightforward UI with Top-Notch Support and Robust Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liem D. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

UI/UX is straight foward. Lots of reporting options to track numbers. Finally customer support is top notch

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

Pricing could be more clear on website. Although there is a lot of reporting options, more flexibility there would be nice

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provisioning phone numbers for our clients to use within our application

  ### 9. Provide an excellent service and are easy to do business with adding value to my product set.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex W. | Head of UC and Voice, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

Excellent Coverage
Easy ordering easy to use portal
Ease of implementation
Great engaging account management

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

I would like them to be more pushy and engaging with onward carriers

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing International coverage combining many relationships that would otherwise be expensive and time consuming to acquire
Providing regulatory information updates and guidance

  ### 10. Cloud services

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike M. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Bandwidth?**

Recently they contracted with new third party and since them caller ID name on inbound calls has been incorrect. They indicate this should be fixed as when they bring on additional secondary and tertiary providers but this doesn't fix the current issue and we've been forced to consider moving client numbers to a different provider for the time being.

**What do you dislike about Bandwidth?**

Better communication with clients and more thorough testing before making these large changes

**What problems is Bandwidth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

a more cost efficient solution for clients. Ease of access and support.

**Official Response from Matt Ruehlen:**

> Hello,

Thank you for your feedback regarding our recent vendor changes. You are right to point this out, as we are currently navigating industry dynamics regarding CNAM and Caller ID data. While our shift was necessary, we know that the transition has created friction for some of our customers.

Please know that we have been actively working to integrate additional data sources to close the gaps you are seeing. We continue to fine-tune the product and have empirically validated that these sources are improving accuracy, and we remain committed to exploring further opportunities for even more reliable Caller ID (CNAM) presentation.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you in more detail and share more about what we are seeing in the data. Please send me an email directly at mruehlen@bandwidth.com and I'll make certain that you're offered a deep conversation on the full mechanics.

Thank you for trusting us with your business,

Matt Ruehlen Sr. Director, Voice of the Customer
