**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I use BambooHR for my HRIS, benefits administration, payroll, performance management, communication, and eNPS. It makes it easy to keep all of our information in one place, process payroll, and handle benefits enrollment, which makes the day to day work of HR much easier. The platform is very customizable and user friendly. I am able to create fields to capture the data I want to help my organization. The customer service can't be beat, they are always available to quickly solve any problem I may have. It also integrates easily with other platforms like recognition and insurance. As far as I remember, it was easy to set up and implement.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Although I honestly don't have any big complaints if I have to say something I think benefits admin can be a bit confusing at times but it is also improving.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR makes it easy to keep all of our information in one place, process payroll, and benefits enrollment, and makes the day to day work of HR much easier. I can create fields to capture the data I want, and customer service is always available to quickly solve any problem.

I use BambooHR on a daily basis and I appreciate the way BambooHR keeps everything organized and easy to access. Customer service is always quick and responsive.

There are a few features that I would like to see improvement on but there's nothing that I would say I "dislike" about BambooHR

1. Extremely user-friendly interface
The design is clean and intuitive, so both HR and employees can easily navigate without extensive training.

2. Centralized employee information
All essential data — personal info, job history, documents, org charts — is in one place, which makes HR processes much smoother.

3. Great self-service for employees
Team members can view their own info, download documents, request time off, and update details without needing HR support every time.

While reporting is solid for standard use, deeper custom analytics or highly complex cross-module reports can be restrictive without exporting data.

2. Workflow automation could be stronger
Some approval or task automation features are useful, but for more complex multi-step processes (beyond basic time-off or onboarding), it can feel limited compared to dedicated workflow tools.

3. Performance management features are basic
The performance and goals tools are great for standard reviews, but if you need highly customizable or frequent real-time feedback flows, they can sometimes feel simplistic.

4. Mobile experience has room to grow

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I think BambooHR stands out because it tries to make HR stuff feel more human and less complicated for everyone involved. Like, the way it cuts down on all that extra paperwork or whatever, so people can actually focus on things that matter, you know, like team growth or just building a better work vibe. 

That emphasis on being transparent and easy to use, plus always getting better, it seems like they really get what HR folks deal with every day, and what employees want too. 

Not sure if every part is perfect, but overall it supports people in a way that feels genuine.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

BambooHR has this issue where the advanced stuff like customization and reporting doesn't always cut it for bigger companies or ones that keep changing. 
I mean, its super easy to use, which is nice, but as teams grow, they might need more options, you know, deeper controls or something finer tuned. 

That simplicity though, it's probably what makes it good in the first place. And they do listen to users, keep making it better over time. It feels like that part could go either way depending on what you need.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR kind of pulls everything together for HR stuff. Like, employee data and onboarding, time tracking too, all that performance management. It puts them in one system thats pretty straightforward. I think the big thing is how it fixes those messy processes that take forever and feel all over the place.

Reducing the manual parts helps a lot. Data gets more accurate without as much hassle. Teams can spend less time on admin work, you know, and more on actually developing people or making decisions. That seems right.

For me personally, it just makes info easier to grab. Workflows run smoother, no more jumping between disconnected things. And that frees up time for the real important work, the high impact kind. Instead of wasting hours on scattered systems. This part gets a bit messy to explain, but yeah.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

BambooHR has a simple interface that’s easy to navigate. The role-based access control within the platform makes it straightforward to grant different levels of access to employees and managers. The organization charts are also easy to find and navigate. Overall, BambooHR keeps things clear and doesn’t overcomplicate the experience. I use BambooHR almost everyday to see my available number of leaves and also information about the team members I manage.

BambooHR integrates well with other softwares like payroll software. As it is a SaaS(software as a service) platform it is very easy to implement, it is as simple as creating an account and logging into it.


On the security front, one can easily integrate MFA/2FA for login, or integrate with organization email domain.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The training is needed to understand where files are uploaded, who has access to those files, and, overall, how to navigate the software effectively.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has given a simple intuitive platform where I can view all my information be it payroll, number of leaves available, my documents everything at one place in the organization  I work for.

From a managerial perspective, it also helps me manage the team member's leaves at a glance, generate charts showing their involvement. Overall I am very satisfied with BambooHR

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I LOVE the task function. It sends me email reminders when things are coming up to their due date—meetings, recurring events, and annual paperwork. It helps our small team (18 people) still feel manageable and organized. I use it weekly, if not more, to create personal goals within my job, and I can break those goals down into baby steps. That makes it easier for me to evaluate my own work and keep track of my colleagues’ work too.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I wish it could integrate with programs I already use for tracking—for example, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft To Do.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interpersonal staff issues: there was quite a bit of drama and friction between our departments. The evaluation and review function, which stays private between our management team and the staff member who fills it out, is useful for predicting when and where we might need to get involved.

One of the best things about BambooHR is how easy it is to use. The dashboard is clean and intuitive for both HR teams and employees, so finding what you need never feels like a chore. Most people can get up and running with little to no training, even if they aren’t especially tech-savvy.

The mobile app is also well designed for everyday tasks, like requesting time off or approving requests, which makes it genuinely practical for day-to-day use.

Overall, compared with many clunky, outdated HR systems, BambooHR feels modern, straightforward, and thoughtfully built for real users, not just HR experts.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Although integrations are available, some require additional setup or paid add-ons, which takes away from the “plug-and-play” appeal.

Overall, it’s a strong option for small teams, but as requirements become more advanced, the limitations start to show.

BambooHR has recently added stronger payroll and benefits management tools, plus more intuitive employee self-service features that make HR tasks smoother and less time-consuming. On the other hand, Zoom Phone could improve by expanding international calling options, offering higher fax limits, and giving users more control over how AI features like call summaries and task extraction are customized to fit different workflows.

It's clean, easy to use interface as well as prompt reminders for requests. The performance review function is also intuitive and simple, allowing for feedback to be easily captured instead of having multiple options and ranking which often do not capture the essence of feedback.

The recruitment function is also helpful with dropdown easily accessible for categorisation, whilst allowing for manual input of feedback.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The strange leave/TOIL balance calculation requiring manual input of -ve to ensure the right balance shows up!

There are also some navigational functions that can improved, for example the need to click multiple steps to view an employee's reviews etc.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is clean and intuitive interface allows me to quickly have an overview of employees and their status (leave etc).

The job application function is great with a number of options to quickly sort and categorise applicants.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I find BambooHR to be incredibly easy and intuitive. If there's a feature I haven't used, it's always easy to find and figure out on my own. Plus, if I have questions, the support is quick. I don't have to spend much time trying to make BambooHR work, as it does what we expect it to do without breaking down all the time. The initial setup was super easy too, with an onboarding representative walking us through the implementation process.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

We haven't used the benefits administration tools. They haven't made direct connections to our benefits providers but have told us for like 2 years that they will. It hasn't been worth the cost without the connection.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find BambooHR automates paperwork and onboarding/offboarding tasks, and makes payroll easier. It's intuitive, requiring little time to manage as it functions reliably, reducing downtime and frustration.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like being able to request time off directly from the app on my phone, which makes it easy. The mobile app feature is handy for logging my work hours, and having all my documents in one place is super convenient. The ability to refer to my documents whenever needed is definitely a plus.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

For the time off request, I'd like to be able to put in specific minutes instead of doing decimals in the hours requested. Instead of asking how many hours I'm requesting and having to put a decimal if it's not a straight hour count, say wanting to take off an hour and 15 minutes, and having to put that in decimal form. It would be a lot easier for us to actually put in specific hours AND MINUTES.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use BambooHR to log work hours, keep documents, and request time off easily. Clocking in from my phone and managing time off requests from the app simplifies my tasks. Having all documents centralized is convenient.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I love BambooHR because it offers a great user experience with easy user customizations and simple navigation. Our HRIS information, performance management, and training are all in one place without being overwhelming, making the roll-out simple without having to guide users to external platforms. Everything is directly associated with the employee in one spot, simplifying our HR needs and onboarding new employees.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

We rolled out two initiatives using the BambooHR platform: performance reviews and training. This did not come without some pains. The feedback cycle was tested in an isolated group and responded completely different than when we rolled it out company-wide. Support was not particularly helpful; the issue was not resolved and the experience we tested (and approved our working solution on) was identified as a glitch. This placed a lot of mistrust on the platform with our leadership team in the midst of a process that is already very sensitive. When we chose BambooHR for training, completions were not reporting for basic users, only admins. Support did resolve this issue, but it delayed our training roll out by about 3 months.

BambooHR simplifies our HRIS, onboarding, and performance management. It centralizes everything for easy access without being overwhelming, integrates with EasyLlama for compliance training, and has a great user experience with customizable features.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I love this app because it makes my life at work so much easier, especially for clocking out. Even if I forget to clock out, it gives me the option to leave a note so my boss knows what happened without having to track down my actual time. It has helped me a lot with time off requests and forms, and signing off on things. My favorite feature is the assessment option where we get revised. I love that I can punch in and out from my phone and still view everything just like on a desktop. This really helps because I'm running around everywhere and sometimes don't have to walk all the way back to my cubicle to clock out. The initial setup was super fast, I watched the video on how to work everything and I've never had issues.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Sometimes when I try to punch out, I have to click the clock out button twice.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love BambooHR because it makes my work life easier by allowing me to clock in and out from anywhere, even on my phone, which is great when I'm busy. It helps with forms, approvals, and improves team management.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I use BambooHR for almost everything HR related, like tracking and requesting time off, signing various forms, and keeping track of co-worker birthdays and work anniversaries. It's great to have all this information in one spot. I love the calendar feature the most; it's super helpful for requesting and tracking PTO, seeing who is out of the office, and keeping up with co-worker milestones. I also find it super helpful for anything HR sends out, as it keeps a digital history which is a big upgrade. The design is intuitive, with a super clean UI and all information readily available on the dashboard and menu.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The only challenge I have had is finding some documents that I thought should be there, but I think that is more of a local problem, not a BambooHR issue.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR streamlines HR admin tasks by tracking PTO, managing forms digitally, offering real-time updates on time off still available, and consolidating feedback. It keeps a digital history and centralizes HR data in one spot, making accessing and managing information easier.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I love how easy it is to use BambooHR and how seamless it is to enter my information. It's been awesome to have an easy process to get paid, and I appreciate being able to see any vacation or sick hours at a glance. I also find it really helpful to see other employees' availability, which helps us know who's available. The updates from our HR personnel are cool because they keep us informed about tasks and changes. I think the mobile app is the best, allowing me to check and pull up whatever I need right after finishing tasks. Switching from an outdated system to BambooHR has been refreshing, especially since it only took about five minutes to set up, and now everything is plain and simple to find.

I like that BambooHR's UI and UX are very simple, straightforward, and intuitive, which makes it easy for me to immediately see the things I regularly use. I appreciate knowing exactly where to look for things I use weekly, like time off and org charts, without having to dig through the site. The initial setup was also very easy, taking less than 30 minutes to verify all my employee info. All the necessary documents and handbook were easily accessible.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The notifications tab sometimes gets a little confusing. With trainings I've finished, it doesn't pull them off my to do tab, it just leaves them there until I do them next year rather than remove them.

BambooHR keeps all my personal information organized, lets me easily view my annual time off, and helps me manage mandatory trainings. The simple and intuitive interface means I find what I need without hassle.

I like how everything is so accessible with BambooHR. I think it's very flexible, whether it's an LLC, a non-profit, or even a small personal agency, BambooHR works for all of them. I love how everything is right at my fingertips, with no need to dig around a platform for forms or tax documents. Plus, there's no more wondering where to clock on or off. It's all right there at my fingertips. The initial setup was so simple; I just clicked download, and it was pretty self-explanatory. The initial email was very informative.

I've only been using BambooHR for a short amount of time, and the more transparent they are with their business dealings, then the better the services are.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I love BambooHR for its applicant tracking system which allows me to sift through applicants and organize them based on eligibility. I also love being able to store all files in BambooHR, as it gives me seamless access to policies and documents without having to search for physical files. It's incredibly convenient to pull up BambooHR and download or send files to anyone who needs them. The initial setup was amazing; I got a connection that helped set up everything. I also love having the training videos easily accessible for whenever I'm struggling with a feature. BambooHR streamlines everything for me as an HR director, making things much easier by eliminating the need for physical paperwork for documents and applications.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The rehire process could be improved. BambooHR makes it sort of difficult to rehire employees. There has been multiple times where I have 2 employee profiles because I cannot delete the old one. Also when I rehire employees the dates and PTO accrual gets messed up.

Choosing vacations is another feature I enjoy. The setup was pretty easy too, just logging in and everything was ready for use.

BambooHR didn't work on Google Chrome, so I had to switch to Firefox. But once I switched, it worked fine, so I guess the problem solved itself.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like having access to all my information in one place. It's handy to check my pay stubs, log time off, and review my remaining time off like PTO, FMLA, sick days, and flex days. I also appreciate being able to check my benefits and see the pay scale for my work. It answers a lot of questions for me, especially when I want to see my pay stub breakdown. The initial setup seemed pretty easy and pretty flawless.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The only thing I run into with BambooHR is that if I put in time off for a doctor appointment and then the doctor appointment gets canceled, I have to contact my superior to delete that time off request. I'd like to have access to edit and delete my own time off request as long as they haven't happened yet.

I use BambooHR to check pay stubs, log and check time off, and view my benefits and pay scale. It answers my questions and consolidates everything in one place, improving access. However, I can't edit time-off requests myself after cancellation and need superior approval.

I really appreciate BambooHR's sleek and fast-loading UI, which makes it easy to find where everything is. It covers all the HR features I need as a manager. It also generates certificates for completed trainings and can be automated to send to an email, allowing me to spend almost zero time dealing with compliance. Additionally, the initial setup was trivial; we just did some data entry and watched a few tutorials without needing to work with an implementation team.

I guess it could be cheaper; licensing costs are a bit high and I feel like with vibecode there's the real possibility of building our own.

It would be helpful if managers could more easily add hours directly to timecards, especially PTO or LWOP. To add PTO currently you have to leave the time card and go to a different tab, then enter the PTO, and then go back to the time card to continue reviewing. It would be more efficient if they could just add the hours directly from the time card tab.

I use BambooHR for managing my leave balance, applying for leaves, and tracking celebrations. I like how it helps me keep track of my leave balance accurately and ensures I'm up to date with all the upcoming holidays and celebrations. The UI is really clean and intuitive, making sure that everything of importance is laid out in such a way that key elements can be accessed on the home page, and every element is self-explanatory, which means no guide or external help is needed. I really like the interface for managing leaves and applying for more than one holiday together. When applying for multiple leaves, I can just select the start date and end date and send the leave request altogether. Moreover, the initial setup of BambooHR was pretty straightforward, easy, and intuitive.

There can be an option to apply for multiple leaves spread across a longer time span, that is I apply for a leave on let's say Monday, and another on Friday, with rest of the days as working days.

The Training feature is helpful but could use some improvements.  I have given feedback to BambooHR developers dedicated to this feature and am hopeful that my suggestions will be incorporated into this feature.

I like that BambooHR's UI is very straightforward. It's easy to manage all the HR-related tasks in one place, and it's simple to find all the components. Submitting time off and performance review requirements is a breeze. All the configurations are easy to find, and navigating the time-off related counters is straightforward, giving a clear overview of vacation hours.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

When I'm doing the performance review and I finish my part, we need for my manager to see their parts. Sometimes it shows up that the manager's review will be shown once complete, but that does not mean it will be. It depends on whether the manager actually writes it. So I think the wording could be improved to indicate that it depends on if the manager is writing or not, to avoid giving the wrong impression that the manager's review will automatically show.

I often use the PTO request feature and find it very easy to see when my next time off is or when my employee has requested or will be taking time off. The initial setup was simple, and as an employee, I didn't experience any growing pains when switching to BambooHR.

On the landing page it has buttons that appear as quick select, but really are just to direct you to where those buttons are. I find it inconvenient that if you select 'Company Directory' it doesn't take you to that, it just tells you where to find it. It would be a better use of that space just to allow me to navigate to that section immediately.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I use BambooHR as a staff directory to book leave and enter overtime worked in my worksheet. It simplifies annual leave management for me and allows me to easily enter and track my hours. I can also update details for HR very easily. The staff directory is a great feature that allows me to find anyone easily and serves as my source of truth for key details about the business hierarchy. The overtime worksheet is very handy and much more useful, transparent, and quick to use than other platforms I've used. I can simply log in and within very few steps enter my time worked with useful notes that I can refer back to if I need.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The thing I think could be improved the most is the annual leave section. There is a calculator button to figure out how much leave you have left. But it would probably be more useful if that was already precalculated and shown. I suspect people might assume that is remaining for the leave year. Although once you've figured it out once, you will likely learn quickly from that and use the calculator to go to the end of the leave year and calculate your remaining leave. A much smaller improvement would be making all profile pictures hyperlinks to the person's profile in BambooHR. For example, if I see a list of people who are out of office or have a birthday today, I can't click the name or image to go to their profile. Instead, I would need to copy and paste their name into the search bar which isn't as efficient.

Another aspect I appreciate is the interactive org chart feature, which is extremely simple to use and very visual. It's easy to filter by departments or directors and see who all their reports are, making it very efficient to use. The initial setup of BambooHR was super smooth, truly a 'chef's kiss' experience, and probably one of the best onboarding experiences I've ever been through.

I like the ease of use of BambooHR because the interface is clean and doesn't overwhelm with complexity, making it easy for HRs and employees to navigate without training. I also appreciate how time off management is simplified, allowing employees to request time off directly in the system and managers to approve with just one click, eliminating messy spreadsheets. The centralized record of employee details is useful and easily accessible, which is a big plus. I also value the recruitment feature, as the system simplifies hiring by combining job postings, applications, and interview scheduling. Further, the onboarding experience is enhanced with digital checklists and automated workflows, making it easy for newcomers. The quick implementation and guided onboarding were great, and customization was straightforward, allowing employees to easily adopt to the system.

BambooHR has payroll limitations as it's only supported in the US, so we have to use different tools for other countries. The advanced HR workflows aren't very flexible, and the reports are not deeply customizable, which makes advanced reporting tools feel basic. Pricing isn't transparent because it's not listed openly, and we need to request a quote. The mobile app doesn’t support all the features available in the desktop app.

I use it everyday, and I love how direct, easy and quick are the realization of all the expected use cases: clock in & out, request time off, check your time off balance, etc.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The automatic "log off" that requires to click on the SSO every 5-10min o so. Sometimes, the session expires but the "log back" form is not displayed; this causes you to click on the "clock out" button and getting a failure. This has caused me some errors thinking I have effectively clocked out when I didn't; I had to latter fix the time entries by hand.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The aforementioned use cases: clock in & out, request time off, check your time off balance, etc. Also, checking who is off today.

I like BambooHR's ease of use, as everything is spread out well and it's very user-friendly to follow things. I also appreciate how the color schemes are easy and changeable based on how we change our logos and stuff. When my company recently had a change in branding, BambooHR adjusted from an orange to a blue color scheme, making the software feel more in-house and familiar. It was very easy when I joined; I didn't need any training because it was just so user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I think maybe having, like, a different type of view. So, like, maybe, like, a more compact view, like a classic view. And I guess the way things are laid out does look a bit older, so maybe having, like, an updated UI could be nice. But everything is quite nice as it is.

I use BambooHR to track anniversaries and sick days. It's user-friendly and easy to follow things. The ability to change color schemes makes it feel more in-house. I didn't need training because it's so intuitive.

The UI is really good, really user friendly, easy to navigate.
Love the fact that documents are stored on a persons profile, can easily go in and extract what I need.
I use this a lot in my role and never shy away from using it, as it's a good platform.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The reporting, I can get the information but often bundled with other information and isn't as customisable as I would like, especially on the download.
The filter features are a little clunky in using.
Perhaps it doesn't offer the features or not what we require from it but we are having to use another app for performance management.
Would say for a HR management solution only it does seem quite pricey.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is our HR system, that is accessed by our People team and Finance team.
Really useful for us all to be able to access the various information we need to access.
The access levels are good also that certain staff can have different levels of access.

The initial setup was very easy as well.

The performance area is a bit problematic because the subject boxes jump around a lot, making it hard to keep track of what I filled out and what still needs work.

I find BambooHR pretty easy to use from an employee standpoint, especially for managing time off. As an HR professional, I appreciate that it's easy to find information about employees. The categories are easy to find, which makes it quick to locate information.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

BambooHR is probably more suited for small and easy-structured companies, as I think a lot of features are not available. A lot of boxes can be changed, but with no date associated, which makes it hard to track changes during the employee's lifecycle like level changes or moves between positions. The reports and data seem complicated to follow. After merging departments and deactivating one, it's impossible to view turnover during the year because employees have disappeared. I should be able to select inactive departments for turnover to access past data. I would also like to receive the same report automatically each month for tracking data like the number of employees in each department, but it doesn't seem feasible. It's pretty limited for using the data in the HRIS more strategically.

I use BambooHR to manage workforce changes and time off efficiently. It's easy for employees to manage time off and for HR to access employee information quickly, thanks to its intuitive categories.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like BambooHR because it organizes quite a lot of aspects of our workflow. It helps with staff recruitment, managing current staff, future staff, and storing personal information about our staff all in one place. This makes it very easy to get to everything I need and allows me to bounce between tasks seamlessly without opening a new system. I can compare current staff with potential new candidates and find resumes from previous employees who might be looking to switch departments. Everything is there and super helpful.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I think maybe just a bit of collaborations with, like, for example, we use Google Forms to observe teachers. Ways that we could submit a Google Form and put it straight into BambooHR would be nice. It's a bit niche, but other than that, I tend to be pretty happy.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR keeps everything succinct and organized, which is super helpful. I manage staff recruitment, reports, and approve days off all in one place. It's visually appealing, allows seamless task switching, and I can easily find and compare staff information and resumes.
