I like the functionality of calculating how many vacation days I will have for a particular date, I find it very useful. I also like the layout of BambooHR, as I can find everything easily and clearly. The clear layout has allowed me not to get lost on other platforms, and the customization of the order in which things appear on the entry page is valuable. Additionally, the initial setup process was very simple and quick, without major complications. I think that the management of the goals, although clear, could improve. I would like a sub-feature to be implemented that allows for more granular, day-to-day tracking of how these goals are being met. It would be good to give visibility to both the user and the leader about the status of the goals in real-time, and not just wait until the semi-annual or annual review. Additionally, I know that I have to manage vacations through BambooHR and also put them in a Google Calendar. It would be ideal if there were better integration to avoid this additional step. As I explained earlier, I use the vacation calculation tool a lot as well as the goals and the 1:1. One of the greatest assets of BambooHR is its simplicity. Now, don't get that confused with it being basic. There is so much to BambooHR including a log of my development and learning, with a really smooth performance and easy to use planning features. I also love how I have many different areas to break up all of the aspects of my day to day role and the integration between company policy and simple to use signature requests. I just today found my company handbook to sign off through its integration with Outlook. But it's not a mess of features and functions. It's clean and clear and easy to find what you need to find. All of this tied up in a really reasonable pricing package. I have had to use many different systems in my time, and some really clunky holiday request functions that often trick you into thinking you have more time left to request than you do. I personally really like that BambooHR highlights when your team has a birthday, and it pings you, which helps our team feel celebrated on their birthdays and anniversaries. It also makes it really easy to see who reports to whom and understand the organization structure. The UX experience is a lot better too, making things a little bit more clear. Getting started on BambooHR was super easy and straightforward. I also really enjoy the feature where it shows who's in and out, which makes workforce planning a lot easier. It doesn't subtract the balance until after those days are used. And as a leader, that is a bit confusing to me when people are requesting days off. I need to know, you know, what their balance is. It’s an easy and flexible way to store and access all HRIS information in one application. I can view everything in a single location, which makes it much simpler to stay organized. The integration with other apps, such as Indeed and Glassdoor, also makes it more manageable to recruit and track new applicants.
