What do you like best about BambooHR?

BambooHR has been a great help for the HR department, now we can have all the information in one place and it's very easy to find and make reports out of it. We are still new to the platform (as a business, since us, HR, have worked with it before). And it's really making the difference in terms of organization and accesibility. BambooHR it's really easy to use, and we really appreciate the Customer Support team, they are always responsive and always helpful, we have been tranfering all of our data from our records to the system and now it's our every day HR system. What do you dislike about BambooHR?

Overall, BambooHR is amazing, even though I believe there is a lot of room for new feautures, more customizable filters, reports, etc. However, I am aware that BambooHR it's always improving and letting the users give feedback, so there is always that possibility that in the future they will add more features that will make the experience even better. What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?

Something that has been really helpful is the storage of files, so much easier and organized in BambooHR than the way we had before (folders in One Drive). Also, keeping track of vacation balances is so much easier and users/employees can see their information easily all in one place. Hiring is better as well, building a good pipeline of candidates and having all their information at hand is great. We don't get an overwhelming quantity of emails/applications that don't even fit the position, we now get better candidates and we are able to ask all the necessary questions and information before having to schedule an interview with them. What do you like best about BambooHR?

BambooHR is a highly user-friendly and intuitive HR system. The platform is designed for ease of use, making it simple to update and manage both candidate and employee records efficiently. It is an excellent tool for tracking and organizing HR processes.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

I would appreciate additional functionalities for the organizational chart. For example, it would be helpful if individuals who neither have direct reports nor report to anyone were excluded from the chart. Additionally, having the ability to rearrange individuals within the chart—such as positioning employees based on seniority or job level, even if they report to the same manager—would enhance usability.

Furthermore, it would be beneficial to offer flexible payment modules. For instance, features like hiring could be available as an add-on that users can enable or disable as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BambooHR?

I really enjoy using Bamboo HR as our HRIS. It is very easy to use and implement. It is robust enough to help small/medium businesses operate and solve many challenges that these SMB's face. Being able to keep all your employee repository in one place is super helpful for current and future tracking. I really like the number of customizations you can make in relation to things like "time off" policies. We operate globally and being able to have numerous customzied policies is really helpful.

The tool is also relatively decently priced, although it seems like other platforms are catching onto the low pricing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

The reporting is quite dated. They have done some work on it over the past year and I hope to continue seeing improvements. It's fine if you want to pull information that is current, but being able to look at a data source and apply a historical date is not something that is currently possible.

Secondly, the hiring portal is very weak. I will say, if you aren't hiring at volume, it's great. Easy to manage and go through the motions. It is not an ATS. There is no filtering option (aka location). It would be great if this saw a serious overhaul and potentially brought in some AI functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?

We predominantly use it exclusively as an HRIS. For us, it does what we need it to do for our employees. We have other tools that we utilize for things like Performance Management that give a lot more customization options. Right now, Bamboo solves employee tracking and historicals, and allows our team to do things like book different times away from the business for different reasons to give visibility to a fully remote team. What do you like best about BambooHR?

I love being able to share policy changes or additional HR documents via BambooHR and having employees acknowledge the documents from there.

Following that, I use BambooHR DAILY. As a new BambooHR user, it's so easy to use, especially coming from other software in the past. It allowed us to easily integrate from another software to BambooHR.

Another thing that BambooHR has made easier for me, is implementation on new hires. Once an employee accepts an offer, we have them complete their onboarding before their start date. So on Day One, they are good to go!

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

What do you like best about BambooHR?

As HR Manager for a 40-employee company, transitioning to BambooHR from Excel spreadsheets has been a game-changer. BambooHR automates and organizes employee data, benefits, and applicant tracking, saving hours of manual work.

Its user-friendly interface makes managing HR tasks seamless, and its reporting tools provide valuable workforce insights. The time saved allows me to focus on strategic initiatives, such as improving employee engagement and development. It was easy to implement, and customer support has always been prompt and effective.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

There are a number of features that I'd like to be able to integrate with other systems. Our benefits broker's system (Employee Navigator) doesn't track with Bamboo's API and cannot facilitate benefit tracking or open enrollment. What do you like best about BambooHR?

The app itself is intuitive for both admins and users. It is straightforward to navigate and easy to use without being simplistic. There are enough features to cover everything we need to do, and more features available if we need to grow.

Best of all is the people. From our sales person who was patient and helpful over a 2 year sales process, to our implementation analyst, to the support team, everyone has been incredibly helpful, kind, and communicative. I love the customer communications from the marketing / sales team keeping us all updated on the product path, and the yearly customer summit is a great event.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

I have not encountered any serious downsides to BambooHR yet. Originally in the evaluation process, I thought it was maybe going to be too "cutesy" or simple for our company, but that has been far from the actual experience we've had. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BambooHR?

We just switched from Advantage to Pro. I use it every day. I have yet to explore all the features, but there are many new options available. Looking forward to digging in. One of the things I like the most about BambooHR is its user-friendliess. Cusomer service is typically friendly and they get you an answer quickly. Everything is pretty straightforward. My one wish would be for Bamboo to automate more prcesses (such as 401k direct transfer, imputed income calculations, etc.) Our time is valuable and the more time that can be saved, the better for the user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The applicant tracking system is a lifesaver. We were doing everything manually until we switched to Bamboo a few years ago. It has all the features you would want: Notes, Email capability, collarboration groups, etc. The payroll system is also very easy to use. Bamboo did a good job of transitioning the old TRAX system. What do you like best about BambooHR?

BambooHR has it all! I love how it pulls everything together in one platform! It is so hard to say which part of the platform is the best. However, I would have to say the Performance piece of the platform has been the biggest game changer for our team. The only thing I would say I don't like about BambooHR is that there is not a gross up or pay estimate calculator within the platform itself. This would be great to have so we could calculate gross-up pay by employee as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

BambooHR has solved our previous problems with hiring, applicant tracking and onboarding. BambooHR makes these processes so easy and streamlined now. What do you like best about BambooHR?

I love the automation and streamlining of the platform. I was able to build out things like on- and off-boarding tasks, the hiring process, performance management, and company performance. This leads to reporting abilities that we didn't have prior to using the platform.

I work for an entrepreneur with multiple businesses. I love that we can house each company's HR needs in 1 platform. I can toggle between companies, location, hire date and more without jumping into different company platforms.

Payroll is straightforward and convenient. We added this on after using the platform for other needs and I'm so happy we added it. It's much easier for me to access 1 platform for all our HR needs.

Implementation was easy at the beginning and each time we've added a new feature or company, Bamboo made the transitiion easy by offering checklists and support.

Customer service is SO NICE. I swear the main hiring criteria must be "nice." My issues/ errors haven't always been easy ones, but customer service followed through with every request.

The Bamboo Community page was a recent add that we can't live without now. We use it to send, organize, and house company annoucements. We have many groups in this feature so getting information out to our team members is quick and easy to access later.

Since we started with Bamboo HR, we've also added additional software applications that link to Bamboo- taking even more off my plate by automating. We use a background check application and an employeeing gifting platform that "talk" with Bamboo. I'm always on the hunt for more automation and streamlining. Bamboo HR has really enhanced this and given me more time to work on the executive level tasks I can't automate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Bamboo HR solved our hiring issues. Our hiring process was outdated and lengthy. It's so easy for everyone involved in the hiring process to see the candidate information, other interviewers thoughts, and where things stand in the pipeline.

Bamboo made on- and off-boarding easier too. In our company, different portions of these projects are completed by different people. There were so many back-and-forth emails prior to Bamboo. Now I click a button and everyone know the task assigned, the due date, and even steps on processing it if they need help.

Getting information out to our entire team is easy with Bamboo Community. Previously I would need to send an email out. People would lose them. Information wasn't read. Staff members would come back to me asking questions and I'd refer them back to the email they lost. Now I can quickly send trageted communication and team members can easily access orgainzed announcements.

I initially looked into this because I struggled with completing documentation for workers compensation insurace, our retirement program, and other agencies requiring personel data. I had to search through spreadsheets and calculate data. I needed a more efficient way to process these. The reporting capabilities are amazing. What do you like best about BambooHR?

Human Resource can become overwhleming with everything it entails. Bamboo allows us to have everything in one place and easily accessible. It has relieved me of a lot of tedius tasks that takes up so much time. I love the signature and forms feature that allows us to send documents to our employees, once they sign the document is automatically filed in their personnel file. The hiring and onboarding process has become much more streamlined and has taken a load off of my shoulders. The customer support from Bamboo HR always comes through with prompt response and very friendly demeanor. What do you dislike about BambooHR?

The only drawback we've experienced is with the time clock feature. It can be a bit glitchy at times, failing to properly clock employees in or out, which results in a lot of manual corrections. While the location stamp feature is a great tool, it has been acting up lately, inaccurately stamping employees at locations different from where they actually are. What do you like best about BambooHR?

We like the functionality it provides for tracking paid time off as well as the onboarding process. Prior to Bamboo, we were tracking all of that on paper and keeping checklists. Bamboo provided us a one stop shop that all of our office employees can access. It is also a great tool for our employees as they can have all of their information right in their phone.
