The ease of use is what I like most about Balsamiq and I think there are just an handful of wireframing programs that can compete with Balsamiq in the area of " ease of use". I like the ability to export my wireframes created on Balsamiq into pdf or other image formats such as png, thus making it easier to share with non-Balsamiq users. Balsamiq Mockups bridges the gaps between developers and designers by allowing all the "fancy" stuff to be put aside and see what is really needed from a design aspect as-well as from a developer standpoint, while at the same time allowing the client to know exactly what is going on and how the flow of the entire website or app will be. At times Balsamiq can seem to be a bit limiting in what type of elements you can add, but you have to also remember that that's the entire point of a blueprint/wireframe, keeping it simple. Would love to see more updates pushed to the downloadable Balsamiq Mockups that includes some nice sharing and publishing features built within the app directly. I am able to take the ideas in my head and translate them into a consumable format for my design team. I am far from able to create a website, but I have a vision on how I want my pages to look and interact with the user. I feel that Balsamiq gives me the ability to easily make my ideas come to life. I am particularly a fan of the ability to upload images specific to our brand as well as link between pages. Its also helpful that I can clone one page and make adjustments to the other. I work on a smaller laptop screen and when you are trying to build a wireframe, you need all the vertical and horizontal space possible. While you can close out the far left and right content bars, it is still not often enough. It would be nice to close out or reduce the upper navigation so see more visible space. Otherwise, you pretty much need to adopt a device with a larger screen (or connect a larger screen) to get a better view of the bigger picture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. The business problem I am solving is documenting a layout in my head, or changes to an existing design, to both our copy and design vendor and our web designer. The benefit I have realized is this is a massive step up from screengrabbing an existing layout and modifying the content with a combo of shape blocks in Powerpoint while making it 'look' like what I have in my head.
